  • Strange that most of these “hated” actors were independent strong women… So who was it that hated them so much?
  • @MaryJones-vo5nz
This is ridiculous. I am 80 I lived I remember most all these stars obviously you are picking out some bad publicity they got from the media, who wanted a story. You people don't discover anything you make it up. It's Bull, but click bait is the only way you can get attention.
  • This video would be so much better if you didn't use images/clips of people other than who you're talking about, e.g. Lucille Ball in place of Katherine Hepburn. Also, Clarke Gable was not how you portrayed him (uncaring to his fellow actors). He came out batting for his African American Gone With The Wind co-stars. On the set, they were relegated to using separate bathrooms (from white actors) that were substandard. Gable threatened to quit GWTW if the studio didn't end the practice. He won.

This is disgusting. Judy Garland HATED? That's just stupid. She certainly had problems, but the public didn't hear about them until she was sadly gone. You don't even know how to pronounce "Marlene"; shameful.
  • @annesmith9909
Agreed clark gable was extremely supportive to his co-star in gone with the wind star Hattie McDaniel and pushed against the race haters. This makes him a decent man in my book

Judy Garland was not hated by anyone. She was looked upon as an extremely talented woman with a myriad of problems. When Judy was on task, it was magical.

Harlow was one of the Most loved people in Hollywood 😍💕....
  • At least Shelley Winter's kid instead of going on to be a failed actor or drug addict like so many other actor's kids, her daughter became a doctor.

My Father worked at Paramount during Taylor's time. He said she was gracious, polite, always on time, and always knew her lines. She treated the Studio Workers with respect and gave a wrap party at the end of the movie.

This program is 100percent a lie ...these were true talented actor and actresses. ..they were icons of an era that will never be repeated ....
  • All this proves is that people like to gossip and are quick to judge
  • @pjcWizard
I think this should have been named differently. Suggest "controverial" rather than hated.
  • @Oamaru1759
I am 79. I recall all of these actors. Yes I have heard and read about some being disliked or controversial at times, but all his "s/he was hated" theme seems to be more in the interests of making a video to fit the aims of the video's agenda rather than reflect the true reality around the fact that these performers were not in truth hated. Not more or less than the rest of us throughout our lives. C'est la vie.

Bette Davis was not hated by the public - and to this day she is still loved and admired
  • @scotnick59
The Gable bit was largely over-blown:face-orange-frowning:
  • i don't think many of these are true. no one hated rita hayworth, ava gardner or ingrid bergman. I also think olivier was described generally as a very decent sort you are conflating issues about many of these people's personal lives with their general likability.
  • @neilforbes416
Did you even proof-read this before upload? Obviously not! The captioning is WOEFUL!
  • @teslagirl1
Stanwyck may have been hated by some of her rivals, by folks who didn't like her politics, etc, but she was LOVED by most of the folks that worked directly with her, the people who did the grunt work in the industry...camera men, prop guys, grips, lighting technicians, script girls, makeup artists, hairdressers, caterers, extras, etc. She learned their names and asked about their families, never forgetting anyone. She was generous to those who were in need, often discreetly giving both small and large sums to help...she never asked repayment and often refused it. She remembered birthdays. She remembered who was expecting a baby or whose daughter was getting married. She SAW people, never looking through them. She was a woman of deep contradictions and had her flaws, but she was also a fiercely loyal friend and a soul of great generosity and kindness.
  • I find it extremely difficult if not impossible to believe that Judy Garland was hated...
