Tochinoshin Tsuyoshi is a professional sumo wrestler from Georgia and made his professional debut in March 2006. He is known for his grappling skills, muscular physique and most of all his incredible strength. His most common winning technique or kimarite is "yori kiri" or force out. However, Tochinoshin's most memorable and entertaining fights are when he grips his opponent's mawashi and heaves him into the air, lifting him over and out of the ring. This winning technique or kimarite is called Tsuridashi 吊り出し. The feeling of helplessness when in the air and trying to wiggle out of the situation is something that is embarrassing and amazing at the same time, hence, this Kimarite or winning Technique is the most savage and disrespectful in the world of Sumo.

the best thing about Tochi is how much effort he was putting in to make sure his opponents weren't getting hurt tumbling out of the ring. You can see him helping them catch their balance in most of these clips.

Just imagine being a 300+ pound man who has dedicated his entire life to getting stronger and heavier, then rising to the very top ranks of the sport... only to be carried out of the ring like a naughty child.
  • Tochi has just retired. Wish him a happy and pain free life after ōzumo. Thank him for the memories and his displays of sheer strength

My condolences to the official who had an entire sumo wrestler dropped on him, he will be missed.
  • I miss prime Tochinoshin. He just powerlifted anyone when he got the grip on the mawashi with both of his hands.

If he hadn't have injured his knee, I fully believe Tochinoshin would have become a grand champion.

Man, Tochinoshin used to be a monster in the ring.

I love Sumo. Something about this sport is just wildly entertaining.

one can only imagine a world where his knee did not get destroyed, but sumo is a combatsport and these are heavy men. it takes a toll. still, well deserved ozeki and a great rikishi.

I REALLY like how he seems to try and keep his opponent from falling off the dohyo. From what ive seen of him he seems like a very good sport

Enho is the smallest and the lightest of all in this video yet he lasted the longest. Lifted and almost threw Tochinoshin just before being lifted himself and carried away himself. Incredible lad.

I started watching sumo right before his Ozeki run, was an absolute joy watching him during that time

Imagine a healthy Tochinoshin with the fabled white rope around his waist.

He really was yokozuna-level before all the injuries.

By far, the most attractive and spectacular way to win a bout. I love it.
