This Nagoya Basho, many of us were so excited to see Hakuho Sho back in a tournament. After being taken out by injuries and spent 6 tournaments away from the dohyo. Hakuho Sho showed everyone why he is the reigning KING OF THE RING by this splendid return to Grand Sumo Tournament. These are all the bouts of Yokozuna Hakuho in the Nagoya July 2021 Grand Sumo Tournament

8:45 This staredown is even more legendary considering this would be Hakuho's last bout in grand sumo! What an incredible scene to witness!

Getting to retire on his own terms. Ending on a 15-0, with a win over the new Yokozuna, and a long list of seemingly unbreakable records to his name. A dominant champion the full length of his career, even during the reigns of effectively 4-5 other rival Yokozunas. Hakuho has commanded respect, even where it was reluctant.

That staredown was the anime flashback. All the ancestor Khans were waiting for the glory.

The roar at the end was the stuff of legend. That was him telling the JSA to kiss his entire Mongolian-borne backside.

The overreaction of the judge when hakuho fell on him will always be one of the best thing ever, just before his victory shout on the last day
  • Greatest of all time. We're lucky to be watching in an era when Hakuho is performing.

Written of by all the press as washed up after all his injuries and his age and he goes 15 -0 ..No wonder he celebrated at the end ..What a comeback for the greatest yokozuna in history..JSA calling for his retirement was shameful tbh
  • I know it's been almost 2 years now but I still cry when I see his final battle cry on the dohyo. I miss Hakuho everyday. Hakkeyoi!

Hakuho vs Tobizaru is the funniest SUMO bout I have ever seen 😂😂😂

At 36 years old. Coming off of knee surgery and covid-19. With injured knees and a rebuilt bicep. And there isn’t a single person in sumo-absolutely nobody-can beat him. Not Terunofuji, not Daesho or Shodai, or Takayasu or Takekeisho. Asanoyama’s out for not following the damn rules. Nobody can beat him. That says a lot about him. And says a lot about the men he leaves in his wake.
  • I started loving Sumo because of Hakuho. I know he will probably never read this comment, but I wished he knew how much of an inspiration he has been, both as a Sumo Yokozuna and as a Man. Watching him fighting like a proud Lion this last tournament has been deeply moving. May history keep your legend forever bright, Hakuho.

9:50 Pure emotion 15 days of hard matches and I'm sure countless hours of prep in the dojo. It all comes down to this one moment.
  • @zeitgeist4279
Foreign born and best ever Yokozuna in the history of sumo
  • Hakuho's passion is awesome to see and his overcoming adversity is even more so. Thank you to Hakuho for the great privilege of seeing your heart. What a gift!!!
  • That was one of the greatest sporting events I've ever seen. I'm new to sumo, but the GOAT going 15-0 and we got a new Yokozuna!
  • @uirmeg
I remember watching him wrestle about 15 years ago, can't believe he is still showing them how its done. wow, what an incredible man

Did you see Teru rub his jaw when he was face down in the dirt? Did you see the judge grimace in pain when Hakuho took him out? Did you hear the collective silence from the referees council? Did you hear the roar of the fans? Shove it up them my man GOAT
