Gotta thank Jack White for giving every new guitarist and bassist an easy satisfying riff to motivate them into learning their instrument

Conan O’Brien, Jack White, Kendrick Lamar, and Bob Newhart all together at a baseball games sounds more like a Madlibs than reality
  • I think of Seven Nation Army as the modern day Smoke on the Water. You hear it and you know what time it is. It's also one of the first songs a guitarist/bassist learns.

I just retired as a middle school music teacher. “Seven Nation Army” is a magic spell/workhorse that I was able to use everywhere, every way, and at any time. It always worked in the classroom! Thanks Jack!

“The more people don’t know where it came from, the happier I am.” That has to be one of the most selfless and humble statements of all time.

That White Stripes run on Conan’s show in the 00s was so great. Their Jolene cover, among other things of course, kicked so much ass.

Jack White looks like a character in a children's Christmas movie.

Did not think anyone could be paler than Conan but Jack beat him to that. LMFAO

I highly recommend watching, It might get loud. Jack literally made a guitar out of nails, wire and a block of wood. Crazy talented!

Jack is a legend. He is truly one of those unique characters that we are blessed to experience in his prime.

Jack has such a love and respect for the history of music. I've always had the sense he sees himself as a preservationist of the old ways while still pushing forward on new paths...
  • A simple catchy riff is like any great art, people say anyone could do that, but they didn’t and don’t! Mr white did and Meg smashed those drums, a true classic!

I'd love to see more 'Behind The Music' interviews with Conan.
  • Jack White is legit. Musician, furniture maker. All around cool dude.

got to see him live earlier this month and it's definitely the best show I have ever been to. him and his band were absolutely incredible! the way the crowd went insane when it was time for "Seven Nation Army", as well as hearing everyone do the chant, lights out and everything, before the encore set started. had goosebumps all over. it's moments like these that show how loved that song is. forever will be iconic.
  • The crazy thing about SNA is that it's kind of like a stock turnaround, the sort of melody you'd use to bring a song from the end of a chorus back into the verse, but just the choice in itself to make it the main hook that drives the entire song makes it one of the most original riffs ever. "Hit The Road, Jack" (heheh, Jack) does a similar thing.

Not a massive fan of the white stripes. But gotta respect him for that line. " it's not mine anymore". What a great philosophy on making music for people.
  • Last year my town’s high school football team used that song as an anthem on their way to winning the state championship. It was cool hearing the marching band play it during that epic final game at Ford Field
