In a polite way, he said its impossible.
  • One of the few non-Indians who could pronounce 'Tamil', 'Telugu', 'Punjabi' and 'Hindi' just the way we would !! That alone shows how informed and accustomed to detail he was :)

even at his age, he can still remember important facts about other countries.. what a man!

Lee Kuan Yew is credited with building Singapore into a Tiger economy. But he did more than that. Lee passed his ideas on to Deng Xiao Peng at their famous meeting. That meeting transformed Deng who went on to develop the Juggernaut that is today’s China. Lee might just be the most influential man of our times.

Thank you Mr. Lee Kuan Yew for building this country with Integrity, Meritocracy and creating a Level Playing Field where a school dropout at age 14 like me, who started our as a toilet cleaner can have a dream to own a business and now be a CEO of an IT company serving Small-Medium and Large Enterprises in Asia. I have the highest respect for you as my Leader, a Statesman and a Politician.

Liked how LKY laughed and say no single person can change india!
  • An optimist is one who find opportunities in difficulties. Not just in Singapore, India. Lee Kuan Yew would have excelled anywhere in this world. Hate him or like him, we need more leaders like him. He built Singapore everything from scratch.

I am literally astonished over HIS minute detailings regarding India.. As if he is an Indian... Every line he spells are beyond imagination.. The way he picturesque our country... not only by map-lines but also He maintains a unity in diversity concepts regaiding my Pyara Bharat... Guys... This is something we should really consider.. A Leader is a Leader ..no matter in what age the person is...

He was polite and careful with words..as the saying goes." The pen is mightier than the sword". He was one of the top student at Cambridge, double first honours..but he live simply. Spore does not splash tax payers money on Rolls Royce or Limosuines for the Presidents and PMs. Unlike in other countries.

He was Smart not because he had some alien Brian cells but because he was Honest with reality, Man with integrity and power to acknowledge truth, he was not politician living in LALa Land but in reality. For instance when that gentleman asked solution with involvement of Pakistan and Bangladesh he politely and indirectly rejected that stupid idea because he knows what those guys are thinking, if they wanted to co-operation why would they asked for separate county. India can't be Singapore until corruption problem and these stupid SAARC mentality will not be changed.
