Back when Monster Hunter used to sell like hot cakes on the PSP, Bandai Namco replied with God Eater. Years later and we finally have the first entry in the series made for PS4 and PC. How good is it, though?

If you were transported to the world of God Eater 3, what weapon would you choose to use? A giant blade? A sharp spear? A deadly scythe? Oh the options are delightful!

I do agree on the maps looking barren, completely far cry from other post apocalyptic games like Fallout and Resident Evil being notable examples, but from a lore standpoint it actually makes sense. We gotta remember that Aragamis have only one thing in their minds, and that is eat, eat, and eat.

Looks interesting, never played any of these games or Monster Hunter. Maybe if this gets cheap fast I’ll take a look. Good review bud

I think the main issue (in the story at least) is that the game is made for fans of the franchise, rather than newcomers, unlike Monster Hunter where you can jump at any game without knowing what is going on. It's really story driven and if you find something that might sound silly or doesn't really make sense then you either have to search it on the terminal or you need to play the other games because its more for the fans that know what is happening, sort of because they are still keeping secret this new apocalypse and the origin of the Ashlands until the next story update at least. Also, it might not look like it but it has a lot of terms and details that make the worldbuilding deeper than you think. Also, yes, the gameplay is complicated sometimes. You have to keep in mind a lot of the mechanics XD Good review, I'm subscribing :D Keep it up

MH killer? Thats a far fetched statement you got there. No way that the game can compete with the monumental success of MHW which makes the franchise from niche for almost 10 years to well known today. Even after GE3 is released, its still considered as niche. But regardless of that, the game is kinda awesome

When I saw a monster hunter killer, I thought this game might actually be cool, Lake you are playing as a guy who goes around killing people who hunt monsters. When I started watching the review, however, I realized you meant this game was supposed to be a killer of the monster hunter franchise. Never mind.
