Part of me wonders if different cultures play a role in the whole "My Way" thing. When you think about it, the song is basically an anthem to individualism - something certain countries see as a nuisance rather than something to be proud of. It's like if there was a song with lyrics "Don't stick out, follow your leaders, they know what's best". How would that song be received in the US that values individual liberties so highly? How long until someone screamed out for you to shut the hell up and it escalated?
