Published 2024-03-02
On Feb 16th 2024 I am at Farintosh Alberta Canada filming 3 trains in a span of less than 20min, How is that possible on the Camrose subdivision you ask? Well tune in and I will talk about how that can be achieved on a line that is single track and OCS

Excellent catch on 3 trains. Seeing the J brings back good memories, they serviced our plant in IL southwest of Joliet. I had the good fortune to run a unit for about a half mile behind our plant one day while the engine/crew were waiting to take a unit back into Gary. I also had the fortune to take a high rail from Gary to Morris with the staff telling us all about the route. Good vid Tony, thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Tony, for going out to Ferintosh to freeze your gear off so I don't have to! Starkly attractive, and I love that Doppler, but I'm warm here!
  • 20 minutes from home, nice video. the entire camrose sub line from edmonton to calgary is quite a neat little trip. from the big jaunt to skirt camrose to the sharp turn from mirror along haunted lakes to heading south to calgary, lots of neat little towns to see.

Camrose Subdivision turns into Three-Hills after it passes the Mirror yards, right?
