Great video. Nice relaxing beautiful music. I feel so lucky to live here and get to enjoy this area everyday! Well done sir!
  • You couldn’t have had a better day to catch some trains. The Lower Mainland is so beautiful. I’m sure MB gave you some good tips on location. Very well done Tony.

Thank you very much Tony for showing us an area which isn't featured much when it comes to railfanning! 😀

take me back to my travels along highway 1 from Vancouver up the fraser valley. Caroline
  • Nice shots from Mission area. Some CPs will stay on the CN side here, as the exits to container and coal facilities are further west 👍

I love settling into watch a Tony V video. I know it's going to be enjoyable, well done and that I will learn a few new things. Thanks Tony. PS: I love the intro with the 2816's whistle.

Power-poles on each side and steep grades is what I remember on this line.
  • SRY pushed in and took away rail cars that were unloaded and loaded with automobiles from where I worked on Annacis island. We handle CP and CN.

Tony If your drone is a DJI I suggest you get a repair quote from them. I have found them to be much cheaper.

Tony, with the SRY interchanging with four out of the six class one railroads in North America do they do at least some of the interchange between those class one roads, eg between CN and UP using the SRY as an intermediary, or are they always done directly between between the railroads elsewhere?
  • @rdsieben
That used to be the BC Hydro Railway
  • It is my understanding that the operations on Vancouver Island have been "mothballed" for several years now. Does SRY even still own the Vancouver Island line?
