Eric’s humility is amazing, notice how JJ Cale indicated for Eric to come up to the front of the stage and Eric just smiled and shook his head, happy for JJ to have the spot light. He is so respectful of all his guests that way.

Clapton is playing rhythm and loving every second. Two true guitar legends.

J.J. Cale is one of the most under-appreciated singer-song writers that ever lived.
  • I used to play pool with Eric in Antigua I worked as a Chef at the Copper and Lumber Store. Pool was played At Dougie's place after hours. Eric had been sober for a bit. I wasn't. One of my best memories. We played 3 x. I won once. I'm sober 30 plus years now. Eric was a big influence in my early sobriety. God bless you.

You can see Eric's admiration for his mentor.

"Call Me The Breeze" sounded great when JJ Cale released his "Naturally" LP in 1971 and it still sounds great in 2023. A true American classic. If you don't love this song, there is probably something wrong with you...

There should be a movie about JJ Cale.

We all know that JJ and Eric are amazing but we forget the cast of supporting musicians are alot of times the backbone of the songs we hear , I tip my hat to you folks, keep it strong and real.

  • J J Cale , a modest giant. Not fame, but quality, quality and even more quality . Effortless and humble... We miss you John, but he have your music in our minds and hearts.

I'm ignorant as an older man of not keeping track of names... performances on stage etc. much at all. Thanks to internet TV you brought me JJ CALE. Thank you kindly... from in the bushes of Northern Ontario Canada
  • You can see the admiration Eric has for J.J. in his facial expressions. When J.J. motioned for Eric to start singing the lead, Eric shook his head, you can almost see him saying, “Oh hell NO!” You think I’m gonna sing this in front of the man who wrote these songs? Great stuff.

What a songwriter JJ Cale was. One of the absolute best.
  • Strange to think of. This humble man and his talent is a big part of my musical spectre. Here where i live in northtern nowhere Norway. The power of REAL rock and blues has no limits. RIP JJ, i’ll always miss you❤️

The modern guitarists should take a lesson or two from these legends...optimal play is what creates the melody..not diluting the song with endless riffs....grammatically correct tones..just a piece of pure art manifesting in the form of music ❤❤
