i love the lyrics of “i’m gonna throw your sweaters out cause they don’t feel like home” and then at the end saying “i’m gonna wear my own.” there’s such like a difference in the mood and it’s beautiful <3

This is absolutely gorgeous, the lyrics hit so hard and the creative metaphors and visuals really land. I love the detail of him having roses on his sweater, but Illy being eventually hurt by the seemingly beautiful and harmless rose he gave her, it's genius symbolism. brb gonna go spam the replay button

I've never been in a romantic relationship but I haven't talked to my dad since March. Basically, he's not the perfect dad I thought he was and I've cut him out of my life for personal reasons. I still think about the fun we used to have and sometimes I still miss him. But I know being away from him is for the best. This song's really helping me get through it, so thank you Illy.

Well... that's a coincidence. Two days ago my ex and I stopped talking, even after we became friends. She changed a lot and we weren't really able to stay on the same page anymore, even as colleagues. This song coming out today is quite fitting. This is a complete masterpiece, where do I even start? Well if anyone noticed the last frame shows flowers that are not roses which could symbolize her not having reminders of him. As someone said before him being represented by a rose is very accurate. I am so sorry that Illy had to go though that but am happy she could move on from him and dump him. Can I be real for a sec? I love this song. And I mean, LOVE IT. There really isn’t songs on the radio that hit as hard as this one. The instrumentation makes the whole song feel like an album. From the beautiful piano and synths to the crashing Melodies. I can get lost in these Melodies. It honestly feels like a shooting star passing by. While I have never been in a toxic relationship, I know what toxic people are like. I know how they can affect you. And the crushing reality is hard to grasp. So these lyrics cut really deep for me. To see Illy put these together is super brace, and I commend her deeply. Finally, Illy sounds genuinely broken here. Like she wants to cry on this track. It’s heartbreaking to listen to. 10/10 song!
