With the Acolyte episode 8 aka The Acolyte finale already a disaster by throwing in a yoda cameo along with a darth plagueis cameo...one major development now has more to do with the acolyte backlash and its impact on the walt disney company...this will have more to do with the acolyte firings situation by bob iger and how kathleen kennedy and leslye headland are already going against disney based on this recent decision that was finalized. Since the acolyte rotten tomatoes score is already showing no sign of recovery.....bob iger is doubling down on his cost cutbacks.

Music in the outro is by Benn Down The Divider (Reprise) from his Zombies III Album.

  • As long as Kathleen Kennedy is still there, nothing will improve.
  • So instead of blaming the people in charge of the show and making it a shit show they blame the marketing team.....the guys who try to make a shit product look good? How does that make sense?
  • The wrong people are getting fired. They built what they were told to build and as for marketing, how can you succeed when you’re trying to market a turd?
  • It’s a shame that the people who did their jobs are getting thrown under the bus by those who created this abomination. Those same people are seeking job extensions and pay hikes !!!!
  • @GJAustin-s4j
None of the people getting fired are responsible for the Acolyte failure.
  • The fact that Disney thinks it’s a marketing issue means they just don’t get it, and never will!
  • Disney: Let's cut costs. Also Disney: Let's spend over $180M on a bad project.
  • I canceled my subscription and blamed it all on Kathleen... I love star wars but they have totally destroyed it
  • Considering what she’s done to the Star Wars legacy, and the amount of money she’s cost Disney, why in the world should they be concerned about anything she wants to do to correct her personal legacy. They should NOT renew her contract!
  • As a marketing professional I'm offended to know that they were blamed for horrible script and story writing... using advertisers as scapegoats, shame on disney.

My Daughter worked for Disney Animation (WISH) as a Production Supervisor... After it was done, her whole department/team was let go, and no one was brought back...
  • Even when Kennedy is gone, Iger will hire someone as bad or worse.

I believe Kathleen will get another three years unfortunately. She will destroy Yoda as well.
  • Nepobaby facing accountability. The poor children. We should release a diss track cause she afraid of the truth.
  • I'd be interested to know how KK is blackmailing the Disney executives that they haven't been fired yet.

Lesyle Headland keeps saying she has not devalued anything about Star Wars in the Acolyte series. I watched a documentary about George Lucas and he mentioned that the Jedi characters are based on the Samurai which means to serve and the sword contained the soul or spirit of the Samurai similar to the light sabres. To be a Samurai or a Jedi Knight the sword or lightsaber was cherished and treated with great reverence. When Qui Gon Jinn was fighting Darth Maul and they got separated by the energetic wall Qui Gon turned off his light saber and kneeled in meditation once the wall was gone he turned it on again. Headland decides to have a scene where Amandla’s character uses a lightsaber to cut her hair is one among many more examples showing that Headland has devalued many aspects of StarWars.

$180 million on the books. Hollywood accounting is the shadiest shit. They are hiding so much money that was wasted on this show. It's easily over 200.

Can't fire the Disney+ subscribers? Cannot fire the fans of Star Wars? It is our fault, right? Oh well, it must be the marketing team. HOW THE HELL do Kathleen Kennedy and Leslye Headland still have jobs?
