Let’s be honest Dr Dre is the salt to every artist game, he made Eminem great, 50 cent also and even snoop dogg said he wouldn’t be where he is without Dre, like him or not you gotta love the talent he’s gifted with.

Its crazy to think that just 2 or 3 years ago Dre was in hospital fighting for his life after an anuerism. I had actually forgotten about it until just now when it hit me how fantastic fit and healthy he's looking! This is amazing and a well earned honour. Dre's fingers have been in many of the waves that have shaped the sound of our music and even in ways part of our societies for 40 years!!! This man is a genius and an icon.

An honor well deserved. My elder brother made me listen to his music at a very young age and I got to realize he tried to unite all the west coast rap artists, making the city of Compton a force to reckon with lyrically. He raised and groomed a lot of young artists. He deserved this . Thanks recording academy for this award. I literally looked up to this after seeing his super bowl performance .❤ from Nigeria
