For people commenting about the interpolation yes, it does look off. Was just a misclick and premiere isn't exactly the best at previewing effects like that. We go next.

learning to play with and around crouch cancel is definitely the hurdle for us oldheads to get over. a big part of me still feels like i’m laming someone out

I think a big reason a lot of top players felt safe to practice more crouching and running options was no longer having to fight Armada in bracket runs. Peach blender is very real and even with his Fox, Armada was intimately aware of this mechanic and used it to his advantage as early as 2014 or maybe sooner.

Not a lot of people could go into as much depth into something as trivial as SDI down/crouching being more offensive than defensive. You have great knowledge, unique commentary and great editing. Don't be surprised if you gain a lot of popularity on your next video. The effort put in is worth well more than the wait. Put school first and we'll all be here whenever you have the time to work on another project!

Great vid! one thing I do wish ppl acknowledged more though is the difference between ASDI down and Crouch Cancel. You can only Crouch Cancel in the crouch animation. All that Crouch Cancel does is reduce knockback. ASDI down is what lets you be actionable immediately out of getting hit. Of course when you CC you are automatically doing ASDI down as well, but not necessarily the other way around! Yes you can cancel the run animation into crouch quite quickly but if you are getting hit out of run you are not CCing you are just doing ASDI down. I think the difference is important for people learning the game to understand so we shouldn't be using the terms interchangeably as it just gives people a slightly wrong understand of such an important mechanic to the game.

This was an insanely good video. I sat down with Wizzy and played friendlies (Puff vs Falcon) for like an hour at Genesis, and afterwards while he gave me tips one of the big things was 'I think one of the big things you can do more is hold down/crouch more between things, when you look at good players they're always holding down', and then watching this was a spot on example of him holding down well. Keep it up!

Great work! You broke down melee's mechanics in such a digestible way, and the topic of the video was very interesting. Keep doing what you're doing.

  • @samasaur6068
I'm a Samus main, I know a thing or two about crouching! 😎 But what's this run you speak of?
  • @spaceace9103
