Newborns display several behaviors that can often be confusing for new parents, and lead to less than ideal sleep as a result. Often we see our babies doing certain things, and that can lead us to thinking they're awake when they aren't.

Then there are times when we put all of this pressure on ourselves to get them to sleep, when really it's an uphill battle and one that's impossible to win. The end result being excess stress and anxiety - which is the last thing any new parent needs.

In this video you'll learn 4 newborn sleep behaviours and how to manage them when you see them so you avoid unnecessary waking, experience better naps, and hopefully also feel a little more relaxed when it comes to your baby's sleep.

To all my dads out there, yes it’s scary just try your best and follow good advice and it’ll all be alright. My baby just hit 17 months and I’m way more comfortable now then I was before. Be there for mom and baby and you’ll be just fine!

ya i was so shocked during the first week, so much grunting and moving and deep breathing. and then when it's all quiet, you worry even more if they're still breathing!

I know you probably won’t see this. But thank you for making these videos. Long story short after my wife had a c section she was in the hospital for a month with a bad infection. So I was home with the newborn (our first baby) by myself. Your videos were and still are very helpful and comforting. Thank you for all you do
  • This is baby #5 for us and we never knew this. This is the sort of helpful info they need to give parents in the hospital

We had our baby girl just 6 days ago, and I'm so tired today, especially, but i wouldn't trade her for the world. What a wonderful fulfilling experience, and this type of love is something different and so special 💕

My little gentleman is just 6 days and to be honest is quite hard being a parent for the first time, but totally worth it. I just want to thank you for your videos. They are a big help with all the unknown these days

Why does my baby not do this when they are contact napping though? When my baby sleeps on me or in my arms he is quiet as a mouse. It makes me feel guilty like they don’t sleep well on their backs in their bassinet

my 3.5 month old sleeps 8 hours throughout the night and has been doing so since 10 weeks old. Every baby is different, but I am so glad I had good advice from my mother to put my baby on a schedule after 8 weeks. She is healthy, sleeps well, eats well, and is happy♡
  • Thank you so much for this video! I’m a new father constantly reaching for google for every little thing. This video is an excellent compilation of important information and has put my mind more at ease! You rock!

This literally would have prevented my anxiety spiral that first 6 months. Bitter sweet to know it now.

This video is so great! My video is 9 weeks and I spotted the vid several weeks ago but I didn't click it because of the title! If it has said newborn sleep tips I would have been all over it!!!
  • @MrMybestpants
I wish more people would talk about sleep regression. My 2nd son was an amazing sleeper, but at around 10 months it was like he was going through what he SHOULD have went through as a newborn.

Thank you so much for this information! All the best and God bless!
