I remember, far too many years ago, hearing an orchestra member comment how wonderful it was to hear a recording of a concert he had played in because he didn't have to pay attention to the part he was playing and could just sit back and enjoy the music. How very lucky these young people are now that they can not only hear how wonderfully they performed, but now they can watch themselves perform it! Bravo to technology, and bravo to one of the most beautiful pieces of classical music! 🎉

I can't stop listening to this ovature. It has everything in it..... Beautiful pieces, complex pieces, passages that are mind bending. In my opinion, this is the most BEAUTIFUL classical piece EVER!!! And in particular, the violinists have their work cut out for them.

Wonderful performance of one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.

As a child, my first exposure to opera was the famous Bugs Bunny cartoon that used themes from Wagner. This brings those memories back to me in great passion. With appreciation…
  • This heroic and solemn music is a monumental work, and it's off the charts and beyond description

Quite refreshing vision of Tannhauser! Lighter, faster, and softer than every version I had to hear. Abbado was a genious.

Thank you, Richardt Wagner. You reach my soul.
  • Claudio Abbado came to conduct the Simon Bolivar Youth Symphony Orchestra, I admire and respect him much, one of the greatest conductors ever, this overture has been one of my favorites since I discovered it, I love Wagner's music and I loved this performance, very good youth orchestra, named in honour of Gustav Mahler (one of my favorite composers). Greetings from Caracas, Venezuela, I really love this music.
