Luke's side comments and trying food just make the videos even better. You know what Jolly should do? Surprise Luke with a foodie trip overseas. Let him think he's following you guys as a cameraman and then, at the first meal location, let him know that he is the main guest!

Ollie dipping the sandwich in the gravy officially made him an American. 🤣
  • @eew12
As a Louisiana native, I've had many many many plates of biscuits and gravy in my day, and I can say that without a doubt, the biscuits and gravy at Willa Jean are the best I've ever had. I'm not sure who recommended this place to you guys, but it was someone who really did want you to have the best. Those are life-changing biscuits and gravy.

That, "wow!" from Luke for the sausage and gravy biscuits made me laugh. 🤣 Sometimes that's the only explanation. 😆
  • @kimleemoon
Ollie has officially become a southerner. He loves sucking the head of crawfish and he’s learned how to “sop up” gravy with a biscuit. 😂❤
  • @ravenna6543
Ollie 100% understand American cuisine. Just dives into that gravy with the chicken sandwich. That's it. He figured it out. You just take two things that taste good apart and put them together hoping they taste good and refuse to care about what anyone thinks seeing you do it! He figured it out! lmao

I have to say that I'm an American that loves all kinds of foreign food. This series, however, is making me appreciate the common food available to us here in the States.
  • @itsjustmeVanessa
It's not just you and not just because you're English. Biscuits and gravy just freaking slaps, man. It's the best food on the planet
  • @wildgeese5707
I love how much more you’ve included Luke on the tastings in the last six months. We can tell he just loves food and his enjoyment of new flavors is so pure
  • I love how Josh took a bite of the honey chicken sandwich like a proper Englishman with a fork and knife AND Ollie picks up the sandwich like we would.
  • @AviendhaR
watching him put the sandwich in the gravey unprompted... it brings a tear to any southerns eye.
  • @chadrickhill5409
Cheers to Olly for eating that sandwich like a true southerner! That dip was 1000% me!
  • @TanukiSC
I think this may be the strongest reaction I’ve ever seen Ollie have to food. And as someone who is currently in the South, these three dishes - when done right - will absolutely buckle your knees.
  • @loud_n_deadly
Dipping that chicken biscuit into the gravy looked like a religious experience. Welcome to southern food!
  • @ceebeegeebee
After years of watching these guys eat mainly Korean cuisine, this series in America is just so good. Thank you guys for coming out here!
  • @Nyghtprowler
Biscuits and Gravy is a powerful... powerful magic food. It's literally a couple ingredients and it's such a comfort food lol I never get sick of it and can never get enough of it. Even when it's bad its good.
  • @ravenh7324
C'mon, ya'll. Let's teach them the word "sop". The technique they are doing, so wonderfully might I add, are sopping up dem biscuits with some gravy!! 😂❤
  • @Voiceguy66
As a resident of the south, ALL of us think that our own moms make the best biscuits and gravy. :)
  • @ctennyo13
Southern food ways are actually really interesting! While there are some foods that can be considered 'pan southern' there is still a lot of variation to those dishes regionally. Being in New Orleans will have a lot of Cajun influence in that gravy than you would find in gravy from Kentucky or North Carolina. Then there will be foods that are completely southern but only found in a specific part of the south or a specific state. There are whole books written about how food in the south developed.
  • @Blackhole6800
As a porridge hating Scot who moved to New Orleans; I ate grits once and hated them. Your analogy was spot on. I hope that you get to try two of my favourites, a fried oyster po-boy and crawfish dressing. I no longer live there and miss the food, so it’s really nice to see you guys enjoying your culinary adventure.
