Actually the turbos on the 2j are the same size. It's just that below a certain rpm all exhaust gases are directed to the first turbo, making it spool faster.

1jzgte bottom end is a bit more robust than a 2jzgte bottom end. 1jz’s have thicker shorter rods as compared to a 2jzgte’s. I believe 1jz bottom ends would be able to support almost 900 hp without being touched on a good tune. I’m gonna be pushing mine this summer so I’ll check back In with numbers

Someone, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the 2JZ-GTE have same sized turbos? The exhaust goes into one turbo for low power and uses both for high power?

Great vid, dude! Well done. I would like to see a four way comparison between the RB engines. The RB20, the RB25, the RB26 and the RB30- then to really make it interesting, look at the RB25/6 head on RB30 bottom end. You could do a really good RB vs JZ comparison too. Cheers mate
