I think I’m starting to see the pattern now. Tails exploits the most extreme version of each character, preys on their insecurities, until they ultimately kill their version of Sonic.

I like the development of Knuckles in the episode because it shows the inner parts of the character. It shows a more deeper personality. He is draconian towards his duty and treats his teammates harshly but is also hurt on the inside. His best friend is gone. He has responsibility that he isn't prepared to weigh down on put on his back and some of his allies dont see him as a leader. He is scared that if he doesn't get strong enough he will fail sonic in protecting the city he sworn to protect

I love the idea of tails being the basic therapeutic friend who is there, yet presents logic so those don’t go insane over their anger and or thoughts- and his out fits is rly awesome in this!

I like this version of Knuckles. The fact that he actually still cares for his friends and this city is heart warming

The moment Tails said "What are friends for?", my suspicions were confirmed. I believe 'other' Tails is manipulating Knuckles to be violent and it will inadvertently, result in the death of his companions. I also wonder if the Amy in the battlemech is that world's version of the character, or if she is the 'other' Amy.

"What are friends for?" Tails starts out by comforting the character and offering "solutions", one that would/could result in Sonic's death Character in question idolizes Sonic and has crippling self doubt. Tails knows a secret about that world's Sonic that isn't revealed to the character until a crucial moment Seeing the hints that this isn't this world's Tails really helps you see what SH Tails is looking for. Extremes. An Amy who's extremely lovesick but is constantly heartbroken. A Knuckles that takes being tough too far to hide fear. Tails himself takes the best friend role to an extreme.

I just love this unique style of animation. Just watching it makes me think of “Sonic and the Black Knight” only if the cutscenes were properly animated. 🍿

Being a knuckles enthusiast, I already expected him to be mean because he's scared of failing the city. But the way it was presented is kinda awesome though. I also realized the reoccurring plot of Tails somehow getting his victim to kill their dimension's Sonic. I'm excited to see how this will go.

Seeing Tekno, Shortfuse, Johnny and Ebony name dropped is like ambrosia to me, even if it has a morbidness to it I'm so happy to see the Fleetway cast remembered

3:51 This moment gave me goosebumps. Sonic and Tails leaving to kill that monster, only tails returning with the suit, the black and white art style and this creepy piano music in the background. I wonder if Tails is the one to blame that Sonic is inside that monster. I mean, it is not like they would have gone alone, the others sure would have come along if they knew. But I am guessing that Tails convinced him to go alone. Maybe he saw Sonic as an imposter again and stabbed him in the back, like he did in Amy's world.

"What are friends for" Felt the fear go up my spine.

More depth and character was given to Knuckles in about 3 minutes then some shows do in a season. Not to mention the voice acting that made it all the more sincere.

Jesus Christ. How you get me instantly hooked that deep in 5 minutes of animation is just incredible.
