  • I installed this little silicone sponge holder that hangs off my kitchen faucet. Your afternoon was pretty productive too, I suppose.

That dog really knows how to make itself comfortable. It actually tucked itself into the sleeping bag.
  • I have to say this is one of few Cabin builds I've enjoyed watching. When I built mine back in 1986 I put those Hinges on the Inside making it harder for someone to enter and finally used a Galvanized Lock system against thieves. I use to leave the door unlocked but I had a theft problem. The thief was eventually arrested when Deer Camera's became available in 1999. Try a Peppermint Mixture sprayed on the outside of the door and inside to keep bugs at bay. 1 quart distilled water, one cup Vodka and 30 drops of Peppermint Oil. Mix well and then use a cheap Spray bottle to spray.
  • I always see people make videos of them building structures like this out in the woods, and NOBODY talks about the downsides like bugs and spiders and whatnot. They all just make it look as picturesque and perfect as possible. Very refreshing to hear someone talk about their shelter honestly Keep on keeping on. And careful, don't get caught by DNR or the like.

Are you kidding me!! Just when we think we’ve witnessed all your talents, you go and pull yet another one out of the bag. Insane, just insane Foresty

love the idea that you left a note for however finds your shelter. Never know if it could save someone like in a jam. I make hunting stacks about the same way. I don't even lock them and leave a ledger in them. I'm always surprised when I go to one and find a new log in one for someone that took refuge in it. in this day and age they even leave a email address. it warms my heart when someone leaves a message that they stayed in one on a bad day just to make it throw the day. made many new friends this way. They've even shared their harvest with me because they hug out for a few hours in one of my natural blinds. Heck I've even recruited some of them to help make new ones
  • I am so impressed with you. Hiking, cooking, sweet and patient with your pup, cabin building, and what an awesome fireplace!!
  • Precious 💕 dog he loves his owner, I'm gonna give this video a huge like.

You sir are a true craftsman. Love how Rocco did her part by starting on digging the outhouse!
  • @RodMurray
Extraordinary! The shot where you go inside and close the door and the dog can’t figure out where you went is magical!
  • This guy helped me believe in myself. I never would have thought i could build a cabin like this until I saw him eating the same brand of Ramen as me
  • @thisisbethm
This was amazing to watch! And Rocko was an addition we didn’t even know we needed. Her adventures have been fun.
  • I’ve watched a lot of cabin builds but I’ve never seen anyone build hinges like that. Very cool!
  • @jansveen
I was in a pretty bad mood this morning. Your film put me in a better place. Thank you!
  • @mlml
I like how you are both open about using power tools (a lot of wilderness hobbyists on youtube dont openly admit to using power tools) as well as conscious of the environment continuing in disuse and not leaving anything behind.
  • @darwinrussell
A cabin build and an adorable companion. Life is good for ole Foresty.

This is by far one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Thank you for showing all the hard work that went into this. By the size and shape one would think this is simple but it's anything but. This is truly masterful wood working skills. So much attention to detail. I especially love the dowels to keep everything in place. That thing ain't going nowhere. Applause my friend.
  • Rocks around the stove to create a thermal mass. Brilliant.🧙‍♂
  • @jiffijoff9780
You are seriously too cool for this world. Man, is there anything you start that doesn't work? Brilliant, thanks for sharing 💡🙏👏👍
