Hello I'm the composer of the music for Tales of Tanorio and hopefully I can give you an inside perspective on this whole situation. The 3 people in charge of announcements are Utopia, Bea and LuckyHD. The rest of the team such as the artists, modelers, voice actors and myself were not made aware of some of these announcements until we saw it in the news channel like everyone else. About 4 months ago I suggested to them we not announce anything to the community until the game is 100% complete and ready to ship and most of the artists shared that sentiment. However, the lead devs were confident we would have this done in time and announced it anyways. Myself and many other artists were then put in a situation where we needed to finish our work quickly, which we did. The primary reason for the first push was lack of bug testing. I also suggested long time ago that we should take at least 2-3 months to test since I've been making games since 2009 and know how these things go. The bug testing lasted about 3 days and at that point they announced the first delay right before release. The other delays really come down to inexperienced management and lack of communication with the rest of the development team. To answer your question about the hospital, yes he was in the hospital as he is battling type 1 and had swollen hands. At the end of the day though these devs are teenagers-young adults making their first game with the pressure of 80k discord members so I can't entirely fault them. This game went from being a small passion project to having the standards of an actual studio really quick with 0 experience in managing such a large team at their age. I've seen these devs go from passionate, kind and caring CCG fans to mentally unwell from all this drama. I do hope people still give the game a chance because all us artists put years of love into creating this game. It would be devastating to see everything we worked for now unappreciated because of a situation we had no control over. I believe in time the way things are run will improve and they will learn to no longer run announcements with the mindset of hyping up a crowd. News should just be news and well thought out for that matter. I personally had to leave the fan server for now because lots of hate was directed my way despite releasing on time and being nothing but kind to the community. I will return once the game is out and the drama dies down a bit. Sending my love to all the fans affected by the constant setbacks. I hope when the gates eventually open you can enjoy the fruits of our labor for years to come. ♥

Personally (preparing for backlash) I did not mind any of the delays, cause I wasn't treating the game as the answer to the eternal (non-greedy+ original) content drought Also: Can we agree that announcing a release date for anything always result to some sort of hiccup?

truly disappointing. if they arent able to release a game at a time they said they would the only way for them to be "transparent" is to just say they cant release it instead of making stories and hurting their own community. this wouldnt even happened if they give out a release date after they made sure everything was ok instead of rushing towards a deadline.
