Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle Movie Description:

Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji - you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves - or they'll be stuck in the game forever.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a 2017 American fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan from a screenplay by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Scott Rosenberg, and Jeff Pinkner. The film is the third installment in the Jumanji film series and a sequel to Jumanji (1995). It stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and Bobby Cannavale. The story focuses on a group of teenagers who come across Jumanji, now transformed into a video game twenty-two years after the events of the 1995 film. They find themselves trapped in the game as a set of adult avatars, seeking to complete a quest alongside another player who has been trapped since 1996.

Principal photography began in Honolulu in September 2016 and ended in Atlanta in December, with the film containing notable references to the first film as a tribute to its lead actor Robin Williams. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, premiered at the Grand Rex in Paris on December 5, 2017, and was released in the United States on December 20 by Sony Pictures Releasing. The film received positive reviews from critics, with praise for its humor and performances. It grossed $995.3 million worldwide, becoming the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2017. A sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level, was released in December 2019.

Jack Black as a teenage girl was Oscar-worthy 😂😂😂

I thought this film was great way to introduce Jumanji to a new generation. It's very well done! I thought the idea of making Jumanji a video game instead of a board game like the original was pretty clever since most kids these days play video games and don't really care about board games.

I was worried when they announced this movie but I ended up really enjoying it. Jack black killed it and so did Dwayne in a more funny role. And if I was in this game I’d want to be Ruby just to kick ass to “Baby I love your way”
  • @Yugioh420
It kills me Nigel is an NPC who can only respond to certain things. Yet he still responds to the Moose vs Mouse comment. Meaning it's a programed expectation people will mistake mouse for moose.

When this movie came out I was hesitant as I figured it would just be another crappy remake. But I absolutely loved how they made the board game into a video game and then made everyone become different players. And there are references to the original but it’s not dependant on it or a copy. The second one is absolutely amazing as well. I can’t wait to see your reaction to that one!!
  • The actress who plays Ruby roundhouse is also my favorite companion in the Doctor Who tv series
  • @Hauns91
Honestly crazy how that's Nebula...seeing how different they are. Just proves how good she is. Jack Black killed it in these movies. This movie was honestly clever and a sleeper hit when it first released. Best family comedy adventure movies since the first 3 Pirates.

As a kid or teen we don"t realise how important physical activity is since we usually have a lot of energy and our metabolism is so high
  • This surprised me as a fan of the original Jumanji film, but this is my favorite of the films so far. A fun second installment and a good way to introduce Jumanji again. Ruby Roundhouse is my favorite character in this movie. I look forward to seeing the reaction of the 3rd film, The Next Level.

I'm sorry you ended up missing this movie the first time around because of a bad date, but I'm glad you're getting to experience it now! Jack Black's performance in this movie is something that everyone should be able to experience. He also does a fantastic job in the sequel, hoping we get to see that reaction soon!
  • I was surprised how much I liked this movie too. Jack Black stole the show!
  • @vintersaga2177
"I never thought The Rock could come off as a geek." You should really see the movie Central Intelligence then! It's awesome!
  • The blues clues “we just got a letter” 😂😂😂 I was dying
  • Jack Black ALWAYS steals the show. I love him even more in the second movie
  • @shainewhite2781
I watched this with my parents on Blu Ray and we cracked up laughing!
  • @kwashingtonl
I love all 3 movies. But the original has a special place in my heart.
  • @CarAmeL624
Jack Black was the biggest highlight of this movie for me 😅❤

16:00 “the actors are acting outside their usual roles… except Kevin Hart, he’s actin the same”… it made me think of the honest trailer for this movie (really funny if you haven’t seen it) they say “you’ll laugh as all the actors get to play against their usual type…except Kevin Hart…Kevin Hart always Kevin Harts” lol this movie really did wind up being funnier than you’d ever think it would be, so glad you’re doing it!
