LIVE WEATHER RADAR: Severe thunderstorms move across Iowa

Published 2024-04-16
Tuesday is a day you need to be weather aware! A round of thunderstorm development begins during the morning in western Iowa and quickly strengthens as it moves across Iowa. This line of storms will feature embedded supercells capable of high wind, large hail and tornadoes. The window of opportunity will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in central Iowa. This first line should be pushing through the metro around noon.

Make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings if you are planning on being out today because some of these storms have the chance to spin up tornadoes.
