I have to say, my favorite part of this series so far is the running storyline of the acrobat ant (and for the purposes of the story, it’s definitely just one individual acrobat ant) constantly talking trash to much larger creatures and threatening to spray them with formic acid while they either completely disregard him or fail to notice him entirely.

You should put blind snakes in the ecosystem. They eat up ant brood, and since black crazy ants can't defend themselves against the blindsnakes and the marauders can, they might be able to reduce the population of the black crazy ants

I did some research for you, sulawesain toads feast on crazy ants. Im not quite sure what kind of impact they may have on your ecosystem. But it may they help with put some control over the invasive species.

The worm in the video: Terrestrial planarians, relatives of the well-known regenerative flatworms, are fascinating creatures. Known for their remarkable ability to regenerate, these land-dwelling planarians can reproduce through fragmentation, where each part has the potential to grow into a new worm. Even more intriguing is their predatory nature, especially evident during wet weather when they actively hunt. They utilize viscous slime trails to trap small prey like slaters and millipedes. The planarian then engulfs its victim in slime and feeds through its belly-located mouth. Interestingly, their digestive system has only one opening, serving both for ingestion and excretion. This unique biological feature, along with their regenerative abilities, makes terrestrial planarians an intriguing subject of study.

I like the vacuum idea. Even if you don't get rid of the entire hoarde, you are the best and most effective predator possible. You can be specifically targeting them alone. You can take as many as necessary without having to completely eliminate them. You can do it without harming anything else in the environment. Gradually, your vacuuming will become less and less necessary as the balance of life reaches homeostasis. Eventually, even the crazy ants will be brought into check. I look forward to watching the journey!!!

I can confirm the green reapers exact species because i have her in my collection:its a green morph of the Philippine marbled mantis,i can tell due to the leg stripes, also the “male” mantis is actually a female and both mantids are stil not fully grown

7:13 - the worm represented here is resembling a soil-dwelling nematode. They eat pretty much everything that their environment has: soil, plants and roots, living or dead animals, fungi or even bacteria. Some of their species can be pests if they happen to be in farming fields, but some are important in maintaining the nutrient cycle in soil and for pest control. And they don't have eyes at all, these are specs of dirt stuck on its head.

As I commented a few episodes ago, some kind of dedicated ant predator needs to be added to the vivarium. The explosive growth of the Dark Horde means that without some kind of biological control, they will soon destroy the ecosystem and hunt out all prey species.
