The original change to make cookies poisonous to parrots was designed to stop kids from feeding pet parrots actual cookies because they saw it in Minecraft. That's an actual situation that can happen and I didn't have any problem with it at the time. Then Mojang used some very poor excuses in the name of animal safety like not adding sharks as either hostile or friendly or not making dolphins rideable even though no kid is ever going to come across either without some kind of supervision from a parent or an animal trainer. (Not even counting the fact the game already has WOLVES in it that you can walk up to and tame.) Then, of course, they refused to add fireflies because they didn't want frogs to eat them. (Even though they could've just... not eaten them, and most people don't have pet frogs nor do they regularly buy fireflies to feed them.) This change just straight-up doesn't make any sense whatsoever and seems to be deliberately stupid. Can Mojang just give us their official stance on how they want to represent real-life animals in Minecraft and stick to it?

Speaking of things that are deadly in Minecraft, some Armadillos are know to carry Leprosy. Do with this what you will, but dont tell Mojang.

Our kid-aged self may have hated vegetables, like as if it’s poisonous. But, without vegetables. Stuff like burgers and tacos would never taste the same.
