After performing weeks of scans and searches, Tril has come up empty. There are no signs of human civilization. Slowly the realization that he may be the very last human begins to settle in. Alone on an alien world, Tril slowly comes to terms with hus situation. Humanity was not built for solitude. He fights back the madness by personifying his AI assistant, Luna. But he cannot cope with really being alone for long. after much thought, he sends out one last signal, but this one away from human civilization, to the rest of the cosmos. Stepping outside, he watches the emptiness of space from the moon of Celestine 8, the planet covered in a Carbon Dioxide sea.
