Both Hakita and Keygen Church knew what they were doing when writing those songs.

Tenebre Rosso Sangue wipes the floor when it comes to a quality soundtrack.
  • @killickan
The best part of Pandaemonium is that it plays for a 30 second bossfight
  • @NarestWhal
Tenebre Rosso Sangue is the only song I have ever heard that manages to ‘shred’ an ORGAN
  • @wutertots1487
Your comment around 22:00 is really fitting to this theme. This is the boss theme for Sisyphus, who in the Ultrakill lore, wages war against the angels of heaven, knowing it's a futile struggle, but doing so anyway, eventually getting killed and locked away in the depths of hell
  • @MasterBootRecord
That was cool to watch! Thanks for the cool feedback on the Keygen Church track. Bach and Castlevania are definitely an inspiration. Praise The Code.

Your reaction to the Sands Of Tide motif in WAR was priceless. Very good analysis!
  • @ThatTravGuy
I genuinely didn't expect to hear this deep of an analysis for the Ultrakill music beyond what you regularly do. Your passion about tidbits like "The Devil's Tone" and other terms like that is just fascinating to listen to.
  • 24:02 This comment being worded like "There's hope for YOU to win" really resonates differently when you realize that most of Ultrakill's boss themes are about THEM fighting YOU more than it is about you fighting them
  • gotta love that from the second tennebre rosso sangue started playing, we all have this same feeling: "this is gonna be a banger, i can feel it"
  • @bravo2221
this man's face reacting to these ultrakill songs is priceless
  • @HotKhoco
I don't know whether or not you've done these, but you absolutely have to do Altars of Apostasy, Versus (and Versus Reprise), and the Death of Gods Will (include the Gabriel monologue for bonus points)
  • @MinusZaxis
26:51 what you said fits into the song very well: the character WAR belongs to has a line after defeat: "a fitting end to an existence defined by futile struggle, doomed from the very start", you are really good at analyzing music!

Pandemonium can be used as a good comparison piece to Chaos. Each one is the theme for the flesh prison bosses for the secret boss level of the two acts. The whole point of the flesh Prison, and it's follow-up the flesh Panopticon, is that they are organic machines made of both divine and hell energy that has no consciousness and acts purely on instinct to prevent the imprisoned Prime Soul from being released. By comparison to Chaos, Pandemonium is slightly more structured and held together, just as the panopticon is compared to the prison (until sisyphus just busts himself out of it but that's not important right now)

ORDER (from your first video on this game) and WAR are songs for the two hardest bosses in the entire game (as of now, the final act has yet to be released, which will come with another song or two), the calm part at the beginning being during a lore-related speech from the boss, and the sudden drop into the more action-filled part of the song is when the boss starts kicking your *

9:00 i love how the electrical violin sounds a little like a horn instrument while also sounding exactly like a violin. i have no idea how this works that way but i like it
  • @Isabel-dk5yv
If u listen to more ULTRAKILL, u should listen to Divine Intervention and Death of God's Will together. They're 2 themes for the same boss who u fight at different points in the game
  • @onyxdragon622
There are "calm" or "non-combat" variations of some songs, like Tenebre Rosso Sangue. The speeches of some of the characters are excellent to giving at least some context to the song if you want to learn a little more about it. Figured I'd mention these two things as a player of the game, as for suggestions: "Altars of Apostasy" "Death Odyssey" "Sands of Tide" "Duel (Versus Reprise)" "Ultrachurch"
  • @shindiz8282
Just a reminder that Gabriel’s second theme was made literally within 24 hours of the update releasing, Hakita was on like, a 35 hour bend just working on Ultrakill right before it dropped
