In 2009 my wife and I stumbled upon this road and drove up a few miles beyond the intersection before turning around. Later I looked on google earth and was sick with regret at not having gone another 5 miles. So pretty, its the place we always want to return to and finish the exploration. Thanks for sharing. That was fun to see again and fans the flames of desire in both our hearts for the Smokey mountain road.

I have always liked these roads. Not difficult and cool scenery. Did you go all the way to Escalante? Amangiri is pretty nice although a little pricey. My favorite stay in Utah- Arizona is the View Hotel -Cabins and campground in Monument Valley. Busy yes but the views are amazing. Sunrise on your private deck or balcony overlooking the Mittons is 10/10.
