It's actually kinda scary how closely I relate to SO MANY songs on this album! I've always loved Melanie's past albums and songs but this one, this one is the one I've connected with the most out of any! I couldn't ask for a more perfect time in my life for this album to be released. It might sound crazy, but listening to Portals has really helped me heal from a toxic relationship, past toxic friendships, my insecurities, and has given me hope that things will get better and that I am growing and healing everyday and wonderful things are happening and will continue to happen to me. I relate to this song so much despite my age, hell I relate to almost the whole album, along with crybaby, and much like many others, she gave me inspiration to be strong and be you, and I really hope I can be as amazing as them

Tbh your development is kinda synching up with mine in a weird way…like when you were releasing cry baby I was an actual crybaby and in the deepest depths of depression and now your producing a new album which is very different which is similar to me as I’ve improved and changed a lot since that time period Just a weird conicednece but it’s nice when things match up LOVE U MY QUEEN
