an ESG fund is kinda like having a food produced labeled 100% nature, there is no legal requirement for it to be any different, but it makes the consumer feel good

I’ve found exactly this problem with the popular Moneybox app in the uk I selected the esg option and was pretty disappointed when I dug a bit deeper and looked at the companies that make up the msci esg world leader index which its fund aims to track. It’s very underwhelming when you look at the index and you can’t really tell the the difference between it and the Nasdaq.
