This is so nostalgic when this was actually your fave song as a child, and then you grow up and can relate to the lyrics and the beat in some way.

this song makes me think about a romance shared between a girl who can't physically touch anyone and a boy who's socially inept and struggles to socialize with others,and he moves in next to her and they vent all of their struggles to each other and he vows to her that he'll make her dreams come true,the girl was afraid of dying alone,afraid that no one would ever love her because she couldn't give them what they wanted,and after 2 years of talking the boy proposes to her and as the song reaches the ending climax he says ''it doesn't matter that i can't touch you or hold you or even kiss you,my love for you is still equally strong''

the fact that ms. swift wrote this masterpiece inside her bedroom because she was frustrated that her dad didn't let her date the boy that she liked (romeo in this context but idk who tho) and in ONLY under 15 minutes it still amazes me... like how? TAYLOR SWIFT is a freaking genius. i'm still blown away every time <3

This song reflects my love story. I had a boyfriend (he's my first love) who I was forced to break up with because my parents wanted me to finish school first (that wouldn't be anytime soon but ig it's 5 years from now). We promised each other that we're gonna wait because we were that in love and I didn't really want to let go in the first place. I'm praying to God when we cross each other's path again, I want him to be my first and last love and I hope when that time comes, he still remembers me and the promise we made.

‼️⚠️TW⚠️‼️ this song make me think of a girl who lives with emotionally abusive/controlling parents and one day a boy accidentally drops his basketball in her front yard and she goes to give to him but she hears her parents and get scared so she drops the ball and it rolls down the driveway onto the street and the girl goes inside, looks back to the boy and shuts the door, later that she hears a tap on her window and the boy has thrown a tiny rock at her window and was holding up a paper that said “hi” on it, she wrote on a paper “hi” and the boy could see the tears running down her cheeks. he writes “what’s wrong” and she writes about her parents...eventually they fall in love and he marries her to save her from her parents 🙂
