Gold Star families of Marine Sergeant Nicole Gee and Marine Corporal Hunter Lopez spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention continued in Milwaukee on July 17. Both Gee and Lopez were among 13 Marines killed at Abbey Gate in Kabul in 2021 during the U.S. military's exit from Afghanistan after 20 years of war in the country.
