When you can grind out at bats(Zobrist) or change the outcome of a game with one swing (the Schwarber),it ensues a higher moral on the team. But the wild thing affect creates the environment in the ballpark to a whole new level (Chapman) So for me we bring in the best arm and makes batters uncomfortable and write the check!

My choice is B. Offense comes and goes, but pitching - especially in close games - has to be consistent. Seven recoveries from a blown save comes back to offense as well; on the road, it gives you a lead to protect in that 9th inning or later; at home, you can walk it off. So I think both are to blame, but the bats came around with only switching out Morel for Paredesโฆeveryone else was essentially the same cast. Pitching was a revolving door with a ton of injuries and a lot of ineffectiveness.

Cubs offense has been way too inconsistent this year to be a playoff team. The bullpen hasnโt been great true but they are just a committee of average guys at the end of the day. In terms of expectations based on the personnel I expected more output from our hitters to carry this team and they havenโt done that despite some really hot stretches.

I personally don't like the Orange uniforms... the players all remind me or those classic Orange Push-Up Popsicles... but the Bears always seem to play better when wearing them, so I don't mind.
