Denmark's hidden places | Cycling through the countryside around Roskilde

Published 2023-06-15
It's day 3 of our holidays in Denmark. This time we decided to try something we've never done before - rent bikes :) That way we should be able to cover more ground and enjoy even more of the beautiful scenery in National park Skjoldungernes Land. Denmark is supposed to be a very flat country, so it should be easy, right? Let's find out 😃

At the end of the video you both looked tired but happy. Glad you enjoyed your day biking. Thanks for sharing. Your pal in Ireland, Stefan x
  • Most people only get to see Copenhagen. Glad to see you adventured in the "countryside". The area around Roskilde is probably my favorite area.

Guys, that was so calm and serene. And the rope boat, right out of Game of Thrones. I was expecting the Night King to chase after you 😩. Thank you for the video ❤❤
  • @hellebachmann8260
I love that you guys are showing other than Copenhagen. Danmark is so much more 🤗😘
  • @ninocaruana945
I like how free you both look riding your bikes though the countryside, it looks so beautiful and peaceful, take care of each other

I love that I am going on adventures with you guys that I know I will never do myself. Thanks to you I am seeing sites and scenes that I would otherwise never have known about. Plus your muscles will be aching the next day not mine (LOL); thanks for making the sacrifice. The river crossing was out of a story book. Great job.

I really like that you cycle around and experience Denmark from other sides than Copenhagen. It makes your vlog much more interesting 👍 And remember guys, that the only person watching out for you in traffic is yourself ! 😉

the scoring of these videos are actually really pleasant! Great music choices and transitions!
  • Truly a fairy landscape! We like your movies so much because they are "real" not "fake" like many who publish their stories on various social channels. Appearance on social media has almost become a way of life. I recommend you remain "simple and true". You look like the protagonists of the beautiful film "Call me by your name", by Luca Guadagnino. the passion of the two protagonists for the bike allows you to fully appreciate the territory, wandering from one village to another on two wheels. See you next time R and D😎
  • Thank you for sharing your adventures, I am learning SOOOOOO much. You are awesome both of you
  • Thanks Peter & Tommy for taking us along! You guys show us the benefits & ease of traveling. Btw, the bike rides were cool and the background music was perfect as usual. The ferry ride across the lake was awesome. I’ve never seen anything like that.
  • thank you for makeing this video it was really fun to watch you are now my new favorite channel

So interesting. Loved the videos of the pheasants, the swan and, of course, the little bunny who seemed somewhat tame. He had a beautiful color as the bunnies here in America are all gray. Once had a little wild bunny in my yard that I was able to get to come and take a slice of carrot out of my hand. Wish we had pheasants here in my area. It's similar to the country side there so why not? Love that ferry. It would be a nice play thing for a coupla minutes.

Roskilde is the 10th largest City in Denmark.
  • What a wonderful way to explore Denmark’s countryside! So fun and absolutely beautiful!💚

Wonderful, guys! Denmark is one of the few places in the world that just seems ideal. I'm sure they have their problems, but the whole country seems serene, beautiful, well-governed, prosperous, and by and large happy. Your bike ride through the little towns and countryside confirms that happy impression. It was, indeed, "cool" !
  • What a great adventure. Thanks for taking me along. As you promised, the countryside is beautiful. I especially liked the carpet of garlic flowers. Never seen anything like that. We have some wild garlic here but not anything like that. Was a great idea to rent bikes to see the countryside. The ferry is unique. Apparently there were many of them here to cross small waterways. I don't remember seeing them but have seen lots of similar photos, even one somewhat larger that was used to cross cattle. What a great adventure you two are on. Love it. Take care. Tony
