I can't believe I never played Red Dead 2 in first person

If you press down on the d-pad while first person aiming it’ll give you iron sights

Now all you need to do is play in VR first person, the true immersive experience.

I did my first playthrough of it on my PS4 first person and with no aim assist only the whole way through, it was the greatest cowboy shooter ever. Never felt more badass in a video game

I set up so was first person except when on horseback and in cover. Totally helped with motion sickness. Changes the entire vibe, truly beautiful.

Red dead 2 is one of the best games

I started it first person just after Kingdome Come on hardcore mode. Left me only a compass, removed all the kill effects, installed the Ped Damage Overhaul mod and it's been a blast. You don’t know who is really killed, who is lying and wounded. It takes time to figure out archery though and you have a totally immersive and cinematic experience.

i played the entire game SP and MP in 1st person, never looked at the map and turned the minimap off. The World to me was what i could see, no mission icons, no encounters visible. I played slowly, just exploring the wilderness, took me a year to finish, and in that time i never knew it had the RDR1 areas, till i got to that late stage.Even turned Autoaim off. It was the most immersive and rewarding open world experience ever, that i wish i could repeat by forgetting the map. You had no idea what was around the next hill, valley.

You should hide the minimap as well, and only bring it up when you need it. That ruins immersion more than anything. You soon learn to navigate by the landscape instead of staring at the satnav

Cant believe its almost 6 years old. I got this game on my birthday in my senior year of high-school. Now I'm 24 and out of college. Weird to even think about

I knew the second you was going to his house you was going to get the Gatling gun encounter as it always happens when you go there.

There’s a neat glitch/feature that lets you remove the scopes off of the sniper rifles. Makes hunting moose and bear cooler.

I wished that they port this to the series and ps5 consoles and give it 60 fos and some other bells and whistles, would be nice to have that on a console

At 3:26 you didn’t get ambush by bounty hunters. You actually got ambushed by Lemoyne raiders (btw I died to them like that once)

i used to love gaming.. i bought tons of games back in the 90s and 00s... now i mostly watch people play games.. firstly cos my computer is 12 years old and below min specs.. and secondly cos i almost never see any games nowadays id actually want to play... in the last 10 years red dead 2 is one of the few games id actually buy if i had a good enough computer to play it

It might be an excuse to play RD2 again but I'm here for it, amazing game.
