Margot Robbie was the perfect cast to play Barbie. She did an outstanding job!

“Hurry up, the president’s here!” “I AM you’re welcome!” 💀 That line cracked me up in the theatre so bad.

True story: when I saw Barbie in theaters and we got to the part where everyone goes silent after Barbie asks the death question, a little kid in the audience said “what?” and that just made this scene even funnier.

This scene is a guilty pleasure when I watch this movie with my wife, the dancing looks fun and the song is catchy 😂🕺🏻

There is SO MUCH going on in this scene. The showcases the utopia of Barbieland, where women of all kinds are included as equals. It establishes the one sided relationship with Ken and her indifference to him, while also showing the rivalry between the Kens (and the Kens are all wearing the same thing (except for Alan), while the Barbies are in their own individual dresses. It shows a society of women dedicated to picking each other up. When Barbie is told she looks beautiful, she responds that she FEELS beautiful because there are no mirrors in Barbieland. So Barbie only knows she’s beautiful because other women tell her she is. It’s a great little showing of lifting each other up. The lyrics to the song tells about a woman in emotional pain who hides it in order to put on a good face and not ruining the fun, which is what happens to Barbie in this scene. It’s just so fun to watch!! Fantastic film!
