Original 'Hamilton' Cast Performs At White House For Obamas

On March 14, 2016, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted local students and the cast of Broadway musical Hamilton for a daylong celebration of the arts in America. Watch the cast perform musical selections "Alexander Hamilton" and "Schuyler Sisters" in the East Room.

I don’t blame the cast for being so tense. Singing in front of a microphone..in front of the president.. isn’t the same as performing, acting, AND singing, y’know?

3:45 I'm always SO IMPRESSED that the "shot him" echo works so well, and LIVE!! In the studio it makes sense because you can add effects, but this is unfiltered! They make it work with just instrument and voice.
