In this video I’m going to show you a method of cleaning and tidying I use when I’m finding it hard to focus on one task at a time! I hope you enjoy!

Your lovely home starts to feel a little more familiar every video - like the kitchen you’re tidying, that you decluttered weeks before and decorated for Christmas and so on. Hope this doesn’t sound creepy! I just like the thought of having a little familiar space in the World Wide Web to come back to - it’s like watching new episodes of “Friends” <3
  • Those that don't get it, never will. Your efforts to make the rest of us feel less alone makes this world a better place. Thank you Remi.

I was watching your video and I didn't realise my 9 year old daughter could hear. She was listening to your voiceover and said "isn't she a lovely woman" I couldn't put it better myself ❤

I have been struggling with my depression. When I am depressed I don't clean. Your videos gave me the courage to tell my parent how I was feeling. My parent for the last month or so have finally understood how I struggle. They have helped me by bringing my laundry to me or helping to clean my dishes every now and then. Yesterday they brought me my washing and it motivated me to clean my room. Watching your video today in a clean space is so peaceful. Thank you for letting us know it is okay to fall and get back up! I am so proud of you for all that you have done! ❤

Remi, you deserve an award in social work or something. Your therapeutic commentary is amazing.

Hi Remi! I'm the gal who left a comment a week or two ago about finding you early in the morning and having to get to sleep lol well, not only did I come back and watch that video, I kinda obsessively watched several more. What I'd like to tell you though is about my bathtub. Sounds simple and silly but as you yourself seem to understand, the simple and silly can be the hardest. Our town has mineral rich water and turns everything from orange to almost a black mold look. We have gone through so many sickness spells here that everyone had been using the tub non stop. Besides needing cleaned, the tub needed re caulking as well. For some reason, every time my kids were in the tub, the guilt and overwhelm would hit so much harder. I hated for them to be in something looking like that. The more guilt I felt, the more paralyzed I became about doing it. My younger son has severe asthma and I had to do it while he was at preschool so any fumes wouldn't bother him and the clock was ticking because he'd be out for summer soon. So one day, I started watching a video of yours and I decided from something you said, probably start small, or just with one part. That's what I did. I decided I'd just wipe the sides. Not use cleaner or strip the caulking, just a wet wipe while listening to your video. But the funniest thing happened. Between listening to you and just starting, I had momentum. Not only did I wipe, I stripped the caulking, I got out my power scrubber, I cleaned and re caulked. My tub is sparkling still!! It makes me so proud when I walk into the bathroom and see it. All of this just to say, thank you. It's not just the cleaning. It's the relatability. It's the permission you give to not be perfect. That you aren't a bad person when things look a certain way. You are magic ✨ Sending so much love 💕

Who's here & SO happy they found you, thanks to Mack's recent shout out? ❤
  • @NiNitosix
Between yours and Mack’s talks. I feel much more relaxed. I can’t help that I have ADHD. I’ve had it all my life. If I miss one day of cleaning and then things are out of hand, then I fell overwhelmed, and it’s so hard to get back on track. Y’all just encourage me so much!
  • I was just checking your channel last night to make sure I hadn't missed anything. Thank you for another video Remi, we appreciate it deeply.
  • @Chaychay23
Midwest magic cleaning mentioned you and im so happy! I found your channel years ago and lost it. Now im here to stay.
  • Remi, I’m 62 with mild ADD. I struggled when our two sons were little but we got into a great rhythm for housekeeping when they were later grade school and up. But now that they’ve been gone for a few years, I’m just bored of cleaning. Tidying is fine but the baseboards and corners and top of the fridge, Ugh- put off, put off. I’m thrilled to have found you. Your gracious example and kind support are just what so many of us need. We’re in this together, right? Right! And yes! Keep reading to your sons! Great memory making!

I'm actually crying right now. I feel so validated! I'm 48 and have ADHD. What you said in this video was the story of my entire life! I had always been told that I needed to focus on one area at a time and that bouncing around from room to room meant I wasn't getting anything done. This video proved them all wrong! I'd already been learning, slowly, that I don't have to do all the dishes at one time and I don't have to put away the clean laundry the same day I washed it. But this just helped me realize I've been on the right path all along! Thank you so, so much! 💖

Years ago I read someone say that if you tell a child, “ Go do this chore,” it becomes hard work for them but if you do it with them, it becomes a game and fun. You folding laundry with your son gives you a chance to talk with him and is good for your relationship. Good job.
  • @GrannyLinn
You might be surprised to find that folding clothes together will be as fond a memory for your son as reading together. It’s one of my favorite childhood memories.
  • @miriam2909
These small English houses without a laundry make life so much harder. Young kids plus washing drying all over instantly makes a place look cluttered. It’s not your fault and I think you do extremely well considering you also keep down a job! ❤ thumbs up for doing what you do as well as you do. Great video Remi. 😊

💖You get an award 🥇 for the Nicest Person on YouTube!💖 Thank you for being you

I really wished I could show you, how much your videos have helped me. I watch some every day, sometimes the same one three times or more. And I managed to scrub my complete kitchen, inside and out. I don't think it was this clean since I moved in here. I managed to get rid of furniture, and turned my living room into my dream craft room. This morning I watched this video, then I happily went outside and started in my garden. Now I am watching again, and am optimistic, again, that I can finish tomorrow. You are wonderful 😊
  • Remi ... Midwest Magic Cleaning gave you a shout out on his channel and asked that we let you know if we came over to say hi. But I've already been a follower of yours just wanted you to know about it! ❤ And I told him the same... that you're so sweet and real and thanked him for telling his audience to visit your channel 😊
  • I struggle so hard with guilt when I don’t get anything done. I struggle with getting motivated and then find myself getting distracted or my husband asks me to help him with his projects and I get pulled away and then poof! I can’t start again. I love hearing your encouragement, same frustrations, and good self talk so it doesn’t feel like I’m the only one struggling!! ❤❤❤
