  • Generation after generation this airplane shows to be so reliable, safe and nice to fly. Not only the maneuverings that can be made and now with such a powerful engine, this "toy" evolved and is showing the state-of-the-art of the amphibious category. Very happy about Super Petrel USA and looking forward to next fly.

Amphibious biplane? Aside form 300K what's not to like?😊

Nice plane. Was surprised that you turn on the bilge pump when there’s no water to pump, assuming manufacturers are using similar pumps that boats use for bilge pumps and bait wells. In boats these pumps are generally in a auto position but also have a manual position, but have always been told not to run them dry for extended periods of time.
  • I fly Super Petrels with WaterWings Seaplane School. They are great airplanes.

I’m wondering if routing the exhaust out of the propwash would be worth it to reduce overall noise? Very cool plane!

Manufactured in Ipeúna, São Paulo. And, it cost a brazilion dollars... Nice review.

WHATS THE LOAD CAPACITY FOR EXCCESS BAGGAGE SIR.???
  • Strange that it's a biplane. With jet engines it could have pushers without the tall engine placement and I think it should be possible to have a normal high performance fuselage shape and only some kind of lip that comes out the bottom as a water landing gear. Such that it could be an all round high performance plane able to land on water with little to no compromise. Private jet performance yet water capable.
  • The petrel is a palegic bird; they go far out to sea. The name is pronounced PHE truel, with emphasis on the first syllable.

Finally, an engine that you can run on REAL "car gas." That claim is sometimes made for engines that require pure gasoline, which I haven't seen at a gas station in the U.S. in decades. Rotax says the 915 IS can run on 10% ethanol, which is standard car gas in the USA. Yay!

I liked the look of the old super petrel. The new aerodynamic Ferrari look kinda clashes with the biplane. It’s like taking a p-51 mustang and trying to “update” it by adding stealth jet angles.

Duas coisas negativas pra mim, o preço, e o manete de potencia que deslocaram da lateral pro console central, com isso o Cmte precisa voar com a mão esquerda, na minha opinião um ponto muito negativo
