I walk into the party, a mansion in the sky
Hints of burning weed, shimmer in the peoples eyes
I looked over to the kitchen, preparation of a feast
Pretty lady with a meat clever, had a chicken by the feet
The DJ was spinning old school beats
Puff the magic dragon, from ’63
She stood outside on the balcony
Like a Lilly in the sun
Offered me a sip of her tea
Said “If you want to have some fun”

Welcome to Rhythm Kitchen
Life is delicious
We got everything you want
It’s the house of good livin’
Some come here to remember
Some come here to forget
Please make yourself at home
This is the best that it gets
At Rhythm Kitchen
At Rhythm Kitchen
At Rhythm Kitchen

Heaven said cook em’ a dish with a pinch of that groovy
Mixed with some originality
It had to be stuff in cupboard or touch of some lovin’
Plus about a dozen kick drums
It’s um, something like lunch time, I’m um, stumping, like drum line
Rhymes fall down from sky, young minds
Find it fun fucking frying French fries
If it means I can buy a clean mic
Make me sound butter, better, bubble sprite
Better blow, better grow, huddle tight
Set the plan, run the play, if I recite
A verse thats been cooked on the stove with open flame
Chef Boyardee, Smoke the name
All my ingredients organically locally grown, that’s closer to home
Propane, grill order, charcoal pit
Stay out my kitchen, that’s hard core shit

Welcome to Rhythm Kitchen
Life is delicious
We got everything you want
It’s the house of good livin’
Some come here to remember
Some come here to forget
Please make yourself at home
This is the best that it gets
At Rhythm Kitchen
At Rhythm Kitchen
At Rhythm Kitchen mmm

Mouthwatering
Living like a king
Last I remember
She was holding me
I drank that tea

My body started groovin’
My feet felt every beat
I could smell the pie & pudding
And the sizzlin’ duck confit
She grabbed my hands and twirled me ‘round
Was floating on the sea
Looked me deadpan in the eyes
Said gotta let go if ya wanna be free

Welcome to Rhythm Kitchen
Life is delicious
Everything you want
It’s the house of good living
Some things I can’t remember
But I sure won’t forget
I made myself at home
It was the best that it gets
At Rhythm Kitchen
At Rhythm Kitchen
At Rhythm Kitchen
At Rhythm Kitchen

  • Plot twist: Rhythm Kitchen doesn't have anything sinister, it really is iust an amazing restaurant.
  • @EasyEnough102
It's crazy, I saw an ad on YouTube so long ago for Rare Americans, they had around 30k subscribers, the only ad I'll never regret watching.
  • @huhutao9459
Found this song through an ad. Definitely one of the bests ads I've watched, will watch out for more RA songs.
  • @JohnSmith-ib1si
I think it’s really interesting that D Smoke is the only person in the cafe that seemingly isn’t under the effects of the tea, and also the fact that he doesn’t look entirely comfortable with his position.
  • @That_s_show
This song has such a sinister feel without trying to give it. It feels so off but so good at the same time, kinda creepy but still one of my favorite beats and great for sleeping to.

I like to think that the Rythm Kitchen creates personalised plates, tea and flavors based on their visitors' happiest memories, causing them to find everything they eat delicious ("life is delicious"). But once the ingredients have been used to cook the meal, the memories disapear, unless they stay in Rythm Kitchen forever("some come here to remember"), hooked on the flavor of the meals prepared with the best moments of their lives ("this is the best that it gets"). EDIT: To all the people saying it's about drugs, yeah, I know, it's kinda obvious, but I just like to add a bit of fantasy, makes it more fun.

The fact a band this good, that posts this consistently (and to a high level of both animation and music), hasn't even broken 1m blows my mind. Seems like a slow rise to the top for sure, unless...?
  • @Alexander-gb4rr
To be honest it seems like Rhythm Kitchen is a place that people go to remember the good times, or run away from the problems they're facing. Either way they're running away in reality, beliving that future doesn't hold anything for them. The kitchen itself might not be bad in itself but people who stay there may forget the lessons from the past, and loose their future.

Lots of lore drops in the video for those who weren't at the super-secret showing, I'm sure you'll be delighted.
  • @RinKasumiji
Can't wait to see Nana and the mysterious tea lady And cartoon James and Alfred :) And the rest of the Rhythm Kitchen crew
  • @brettmccollet
I'm a huge dnd nerd and this song has sparked my creativity for a quest/location. Love the music you guys make, your so good at what you do, thanks for making my life brighter.
  • i fucking adore the line “this is the best that it gets at rhythm kitchen” your first time is always the best. it’s a new experience, one that your body is entirely receptive to. you’re not numb, not delving deeper into drugs to try and hit that same high but after the first time, it’s a downward spiral. one that will either permanently affect your life or kill you.
  • The lore drops here are insane, I can't wait to go frame by frame later today. Thanks for another great song Rare Americans.
  • @LavinBurgess
The RACU (Rare Americans Cinematic Universe) is getting wilddddd
  • @lostitems1894
Me: *singing along to the song* The Song: So come here to remember, so come here to forget Me: So come here to remember, so come here to forget ... OH SHIT MY HOMEWORK
  • Okay so, let's talk meaning and shit because symbolism matters. The way I interpret this is about loosing yourself in something that feels good. The drugs and the music, the tea and the drums. You need real inspiration to be a part of that, but it takes all of that just to have a seat at the table. Who you are slips away amongst the drugs and kickdrums and you get so sucked up in it that you never even think to leave, because it's "good" or "The best" even, no matter what precious thing you lose in the process.
  • @jaxon5925
Hey rare Americans. I just wanna say "baggage" helped me through something and thanks But yalls music is seriously bombastic
  • @idkitsme4574
The color of the eyes being out of sync is such a nice touch. Really drives home the creepiness of it all. Dope song!
  • @pianothrone7965
This is legitimately the only band that I don’t think can make a bad song. The rhythm, beat and lyrics just complete everything that they do
