"I think he figured out, early on, how to live." Is a rad compliment... especially from Arto

He taught a whole generation of skateboarders how to 360 kickflip. He deserves all the success.

So nice to see people talking so highly of another person. The end of these always gets me in the feels.

It’s crazy how time flies I still have my 2012 pair of janoskis hanging in my old neighborhoods electric cables 😅

One thing this episode brings to light is that O'Dell must somehow tackle a Biebell episode. That will not be so easy.

I've been rockin Nike SB Janoski's for years. His shoes are elite.
  • Met Stefan a few times around Sac and SF. Couldn’t not have been a better person remembered my name and was genuinely excited to see me the last time at 3rd and Army. Love seeing someone have success that you actually like!
  • He was always a style god, but that switch flip 50-50 on the rail was mind-blowingly progressive at the time. Fucking ripper of a skater.

I think it’s great that he was so easygoing with filmers which you could argue helped get him where he is today, yet so critical with his shoe design with Nike. He knows what he’s doing.

His smile brings me sincere joy. His skating is divine.

Hands down my favorite Epicly Later’d episode of all time. It truly warmed my heart and knowing he's doing so well is the cherry on top. impacted more people in this world than what they know. Incredible!!!

The ending 🤣Have always enjoyed Stefan's skate parts, his energy and enthusiasm, and his one of kind laid back style. How epic is it to be like, "I skate with Guy Mariano." Feels like a dream, and his story seems almost too good to be true. One critique is that despite not seeing darker sides of people, does not mean that they don't exist, and that it is normal to go through depression or addiction often linked to trauma. I understand that this is not what is being directly stated, however it made me feel that because people have not seen Stefan go through these areas, this slightly insinuates that if you can be a human that does not go through depression or addiction, you are on another level than other humans and this may explain your "success." My last thought; growing up in skateboard culture at a young age and watching Epicly later'd "later" in life has been pure joy to break through what is behind the lives of our favorite skateboarders and to peer inside the skateboard world beyond skate parts. Hugely appreciate the work of Patrick O'Dell and those that have brought these stories to life.

His original shoe that came out in skate shops had a cork insole on the side. Loved em.
