No one in Thailand likes him. But they can’t say it. His father was loved by the country.
  • @beluwuga2573
So basically he's a 16th century European monarch living in the 21st century.
  • @LEELOLKH
The fact that he disowned and deported his own children.
  • He's the worst king ever everyone hates him and he just locks himself away with 20 women in Germany and leaves thailand to fend for itself his dad was ten times the man he is
  • The second lady he married and his 4 sons are currently in the US they aren’t allowed to go back to Thailand even for their grandpa’s funeral
  • @jadetiger88888
I heard his sister is a better choice to be queen and people like her
  • @lindaparker1980
When I was in Thailand at 2011, the cab driver was telling me about the king but he didn’t call him “the king”. Instead, he called him “my king”. That seemed lovely to me. I believe no one calls this one “my king”...

His dad was loved by the whole country. He served the people and worked hard to make their lives better. The son is a total opposite - has no interest in public service and just wants to indulge in a lavish playboy lifestyle in Bavaria.
  • @canuck21
His father was all class, it's a shame that the son is the complete opposite.
  • I'm a part of the Indian community 🇮🇳 living in Thailand for generations and I can tell u one thing that King Bhumibol was adored by us, many of us hanged his photo on our walls. But today his son is not at all respected by us

When i visited Thailand with family, the Thai people were amazing and way too kind to us. My best memory was a woman who with her dog (formerly a stray) lived and worked next door to where we were staying. The dog had a literal house on the beach (included with warm sea breezes, clean water bowl, and homemade dog food), and the woman had socialized him so well that his calm nature managed to get my little cousins to stop fearing dogs. He was a sweetheart, and she was a fantastic lady who recommended us to a lot of great places. To compare that to how closed off and suppressive the monarchy is, its like night and day.
  • As a Thai person, i value king Rama I, Rama V and Rama IX above all the other Kings. King Rama I established the Rattanakosin Kingdom and he could easily be Thailand’s greatest king. King Rama V prevented colonial expansion into the country and modernised the country. King Rama IX reigned for 70 years. He successfully ruled over Thailand from the start of the Cold War into the modern day. Unfortunately, i feel like we wont be able to see any greater kings than them

The most hated king in Thailand. He will end his own monarchy.
  • @kirankandel3886
He is one of those people who don't deserve what they have.
  • @jmantwild9373
I think I now understand why the people of Thailand miss their old king, and why the country as a whole really dislike him. I've always heard stories about him from Thai people but this makes me sad for them. I hope he becomes wiser in his older age and serves the people of Thailand with dignity and grace.
  • @andypants95
No ones gonna talk about the guy jailed for 35 years for insulting the monarchy on Facebook?
  • @Kookie-zv4bu
he denounced his consort for disloyalty the irony
  • @ThirstyTHOR
He's like a mad king from story who does everything he wants to. The Irony is He's named after Lord Rama who married one women and did everything for her.
  • @jonn1720
at least he's entertaining enough to make documentaries about that people will actually watch.
  • Daddy should have put a lot more effort into disciplining the prince. He also should have shown him that the reason the people loved him is because he loved the people.
