I'm 19, and probably the most under qualified kid to ever do anything like this. But thanks to you Jeff, i was able to remove my rotted subfloor, inspect under my house, replace the subfloor with confidence, prep it and install my vinyl flooring! And not to brag, but, it came out so DAMN GOOD!!! 😁 thanks a ton for these videos Jeff!!

I love your long videos, I always worry when there only 45 mintues, but your 45 mintues are jammed packed with info. Thanks Jeff. 🍻

I appreciate the effort that went in to making this video. I hope you are fairly compensated by YouTube for the time and effort that you put in to these videos.
  • @brumby92
I just finished putting down flooring. Now onto the trims.

OMG this video is long but worth its seconds in gold. Love the videos, Papa Jeff is the reason I'm remodeling my house (I'm a nurse with little construction experience) and only having to hire professionals for jobs I'm really not comfortable doing (electrical, plumbing, ceramic tile). I'm about half way on my bathroom and kitchen remodel, took it down to studs and replaced subfloor since my house was built in 1925 and it squeaked like crazy. Now the floors are not only stronger but no more squeaks. And my kitchen and bathroom exterior walls now have insulation. Thank you again Jeff, you not only have saved me thousands but helped me learn how to repair and maintain my house. I live in southern California.

I can’t believe this is free…Jeff…let me buy you a beer at least 😂

The proper steel screw sizes for securing 3/4-inch plywood to the floor joists are #8, #10 and #12 screws. The number refers to the thickness of the screw. Each is available in lengths from 1 1/4 to 3 inches. Typically, the 3-inch variety is used to secure plywood subfloors.

When your tiling (especially with BIG tile) what this guy says is important.

Canadians, man. Normandy to here -- you can draw a damn line. What a reliable, caring nation. Thank you.

This compilation is the best. Even though I watched the individual segments when they were first posted, this was a great refresher. Thanks to you, Jeff for great info and even better inspiration.
  • @MrCpolzin
It feels so good to watch your videos and realise I'm not making terrible mistakes. Woohoo ! Thank you Jeff.
  • @jbb5470
Outstanding video series Jeff! I learned a lot and have a flooring project in our kitchen coming up. These tips will come in handy and enable me to do it the right way! Thanks for posting!!
  • @ClarkeLSmith
Jeff, thank you sooooooo much for a video series like this one.... I'm about to embark on a flooring replacement project in our home that is going to be installed by a floor pro... and seeing this video will allow me to confirm that things are indeed done the right way!... there are tons of squeaks in our 1940's home and some unlevel flooring in our living room... you really helped me understand how this can be fixed. I truly appreciate it.
  • Thank Jeff, I love the trade. I'm getting divorced and lost all confidence in myself. But little by little I am gaining confidence with your videos and practicing on our unfinished basement! Thank for dumbed it done a bit when necessary! 1000 thanks
  • @adobongadobe
Thanks so much for making these videos. Highly informative and still entertaining. I'm picking up a lot of stuff from this demo even though I have no plans to fix a floor! As another commenter said, I can't believe these videos are available for free. You're doing great service to a lot of people.
  • I have squeaky floors here and there and it was so great to learn how and why they occur. Thanks for the demo Jeff. For all of us visual learners it was beyond helpful.
  • So going to tackle taking out carpet and putting in a new flooring system and you answered every darn question that I had fears of and I have already half finished my basement project room with the sound proofing products and all I can say is thank you 😊.
  • @amywombat5202
Thank you Jeff! I’m getting ready to replace sheet vinyl and carpet with vinyl plank but I have a dip in my kitchen. Now I have a plan to fix it.
  • I want to thank you for all of your videos. I just got into the flooring business, and your videos have been extremely helpful! I feel like I can help my clients better after watching your stuff!
  • Thank you sir for yet another informative series! Coming from a small town in Northern Ontario where getting product can be challenging these help me line up everything required before even starting. Looking forward to the in depth tile video!
