  • @NooBiker
    That's a beautiful R80 GS❀
  • @Saddlebags73
Only one thing beats a day in the lanes with Ken…a day in the lanes with Ken, on knobblies. I thought that was my bike you were throwing in the hedge until I saw the blue/white tank 🀣 Fair play with the puddles mate πŸ‘πŸΌ I hope Nick the Duck is watching. You know I have an aversion to water, but I do ride The Witch, which is of course soluble. β€œSaddlebags did it in the summer, I did it full legend” ??? I’m gonna let that slide 😳 Brilliant video and always nice to see Ken πŸ‘πŸΌ
  • @Stefan_trekkie
It seams that you, Jeff - SB73 and Steve - Old wild and free are taking turns who is going to be tortured by Ken 😁😁😁

Oooh Oooh Oooh ! Can't wait to watch this later today, with pipe ( hi Blake ! ) and whisky ( hi Scotland ! ) in hand. A bit busy today. Lots to get done. But this is bound to be a real treat at the end of the day !.Β  Hi Ken ! Hi "Steve" ! Love from Provence, Graham.
  • I’ve got to say ER that you are a true LEGEND doing it in all that wetness and on Road Tyres as well πŸ˜‚ Great video mate and it made me laugh a lot 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣 Ride Safe Ride NC DCT Dave & Butty Bach πŸ™‚
  • @BlakesPipes
Well done sir. Not sure that was beginner track, but I was laughing the entire time thinking, better him then me!
  • @HippoDrones
Ken took you on a good route there, looks the same or similar to what I did when I met up with him and Marc. Them stock tyres are def the first thing to change on that bike if trail riding it. You done great mate.... some of that was super slimy! Def full legend mate! πŸ˜€
  • @paulegan7250
Hiya, excellent video, one of your best I think. Well done mate.
  • @flatcapcaferacer
When I get in tight riding I usually fall back on twisting the throttle a bit more of course nothing bad ever happened to me using that technique πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ My breathing riding the Monkey last winter in the snow was much heavier.
  • @neilclark2245
This is the kind of thing which makes you think "WTF am I doing?" while you're doing it, but afterwards in the pub it was fun
  • @economicalrides
Well, first of all Exmouth, I thought you did a brilliant job with the standard tyres ! That was a level of mud and slime that they aren't really designed for. So well done matey, great effort. Secondly, you did not disappoint on the heavy breathing front. Listening to you trying to keep up with Ken reminded me of the many memorable nights I have spent with a certain "Dave". In defence of Ken, I am guessing that those trails would normally be classed as easy to intermediate but of course with the amount of rain that you've had, they were considerably more tricky than they would have been had they been dry ! I loved it when you went full send and got your boots full of water. That's what it's all about. Well, according to HippoDrones anyway. Don't fancy it myself. Ken's legendary status clearly rubbed off on you as you most definitely did go "full legend" on this ride Steve. Ken, as always, was just Ken and made it all look like it was just a walk in the park ! I liked your add on at the end with your thoughts about the new Himalayan and the old 411. Very much how I feel about the situation. I think that it's a real shame that the 411 Himalayan couldn't continue alongside the 450, at least for as long as it still gets through the emissions requirements ( as they are doing with the Scram ). It is a different option. A more tractable engine makes it the better choice for people like myself who want it primarily for off-road malarkey. It's also cheaper to buy and probably cheaper to repair whenever you inevitably drop it and damage something. Following my test of the 450, it definitely feels like it was conceived with more of a road bias than the 411 and I think the engine characteristics and the way it responds to throttle inputs will make it a bit of a handful on slow, technical trails. Anyway, a fun video as always. We could tell that once the initial panic subsided, you really started to enjoy yourself. Your squeals of joy as you rode through those deep puddles were hilarious ! Thanks Steve and Ken, great stuff. Maybe make this a series ? Love, Brian and Rupert in Paris ( we're on a mini-break ! )

I hope the day wasn't too much of an ordeal, it was really slippery, about as wet as it gets TBH. You can see that by the state of the river behind you on your final shot, its usually very calm and benign through there. Even the simplest of the lanes up here can catch you out when its like that. Saddlebags will be gutted to see all those puddles that he missed out on... 😁 It was great to have you up for the day anyway, good company and a few laughs (mainly at ourselves!) πŸ˜‚ It occurs to me that a day out in the lanes with You and Epic Motorcycle Adventures would sound a bit like a steam engine rally! At least you had a bit of a workout πŸ‘
  • @motomallen
That looked liked great fun, fair play to you, abs, the wrong rubber and on a Royal Enfield, not the easiest thing to be doing in the wet on those surfaces. Big love from Ilfracombe.
  • @davericketts9101
Extra `man points` duly awarded. Looks like you could do with a drop of rain there, like here in Somerset. 😏
