  • If an adult of any gender doesn’t know that a woman’s body changes when she gives birth and doesn’t necessarily ever go back to the exact same as before they have been deprived basic knowledge of normal human biology. Women’s bodies change as we age. It’s changes in hormones and in lifestyle. Same as dad bods.

It would be crazy if bellies DIDN’T change after pregnancy. We see how far out that belly goes and gets stretched! It’s a miracle it goes back at all honestly. Such a gift to be able to experience that!

The “woahhhh” got me. Like he’s surprised as if he’s seeing it for the first time.
  • @VictoriaKiki
Her husband always makes me roll my eyes. It literally never fails.
  • Abby your body is INCREDIBLE. Having 2 babies back to back and looking how you do is mind blowing !!!
  • "Whoa" may not have been exactly the most appropriate response, there, Matt. Men's skin sags as they age, too. Wait until you see what happens to the family jewels.
  • Ummm... Her belly is absolutely beautiful. That flappy skin looks perfect. Nothing deserving of a "woaaaah" like it's something crazy and out of the ordinary.

I’ve carried seven babies, birthed three full term, lost three first trimester and lost a baby girl halfway through my pregnancy. My belly is absolutely filled with stretch marks and wrinkles. It’s biologically normal to carry our story written on our skin. ❤ learning to love the markings left behind.

Every time I see her she’s crying, I really hope she’s having a lovely week.

Ok we need to talk more about how Matt was surprised women’s bodies change after birth.
  • Is there a word for positive maskulinity and feminism. So good to see honest and respectful support of women.

This is normal. You sound like you are embarrassed by it as if it's your fault you have this extra skin. We need to value more than looks!
  • Abby deserves better than Matt. No woman should get that reaction from a man after giving him 2 kids
  • My mom wore it w pride and my fathers love never changed because of it. You wear a badge of honor and courage 😊 Not many get to but bravo for strutting and not being ashamed you’re so beautiful and your hubby is amazing !!! Love you girl!!!
  • @H.Michele
Love this! I want to normalize this so much. Postpartum bodies are their own kind of beautiful and I wish we’d embrace that. Babies do not “ruin” our bodies, they do change our bodies, but they are not ruined. There’s nothing wrong with being a mother and having the body of a mother. That’s goddess tier!!
  • I have these feelings. I try to tell myself it is one of the most beautiful parts of me. That was my 4 children's armor while they were growing ever so safely inside. And that armor now shows the battles I went through to bring them into this world. And the same goes for you! ❤
