  • I really think media literacy needs to be taken seriously by school systems because it’s becoming so important to the average child’s life and it’s really not being taught by parents.

The only way to counter rage bait is to immediately scroll. No lingering. Nothing. Just immediately scroll.

As an autistic person rage bait is my personal hell because sometimes people say things and i genuinely cannot tell if they mean it or not
  • @kickrocksmaybe
‘Do Not Recommend Channel’ is my favorite button, I haven’t fallen for the rage bait in over a year miss ma’am. Thank you for making this vid!!
  • I will never forget the poster I saw in a school councilor's office years ago: "Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you to their level and beat you with experience."
  • @ranthropologist
Genuinely and unironically: please post the training video separately so I can send it to people. My family needs to see it.

i genuinely deleted social media because i realized this exact thing. the only thing i use now is youtube pretty much. i’d rather be made fun of for being behind on the goofs than be subjected to being angry over strangers

nobody’s gonna see this comment so i’ll say that i have a crush on you

"You're a thousand unpaid interns in a trenchcoat." That's the most witty and clever line I've heard in a long time. My hat's off to you.
  • @sussyhilda
rage bait is like reality shows. it's so bad, you can't stop watching it.
  • @FaeSleepy
"How many times is he gonna back up that truck!?!?" Felt that spiritually

hearing the number 29,000 suddenly has my heart racing. 80-odd years sounds like forever to my adhd time blindness, but putting life expectancy into days makes me realise how much of my life I've essentially wasted

'block and move on,' although sounding passive aggressive, is really a great motto on the internet tbh. anyone who says something outrageous most likely wants to have someone respond to them. saved countless hours of my life by blocking and moving on.

What is particularly frustrating is that thanks to the way algorithms are strucutred these days, just stopping long enough to verify that a video is fake counts as engagement.

As someone who has been fooled by sarcasm more than once (sometimes even by “friends”), I hate this so much. I am such an honest person and just want to be able to relax online and assume people are mostly honest too 😢
  • Rage Bait reminds me of the old 90s Canadian PSAs talking about not believing everything you see on tv. We need those posted on tiktok

Not gonna lie, I ABSOLUTELY fell for the cutting bottoms out of shoes thing because I know people who are that cringe in real life.

That biblical clap back was amazing
