I make a hashbrown casserole every family get together except I use about 4x that cheese lol

A friend taught me to put this all together with raw onions and then cover & refrigerate overnight! Bake next day. Oh my! the flavors all come together and the onions sweat off the liquid into it. Delicious!

Good morning! I love hashbrown casserole. I top mine with what we Canadians call crispy onions or French fried onions (found around where croutons are in the grocery store). Yum!
  • Very often I would make something similar, except I would portion this out in freezer to bake ovenware. You always had a breakfast dish or side dish ready to be baked.

You are amazing! I would never think to squeeze out the water of the potatoes. That’s why you’re the Queen of the kitchen 👑

I am with you on the preferring the shredded potatoes verses the cubed ones! The consistency is much better and the taste is too!! Thank you for sharing all of these recipes with us!!!! Valdosta says hello!!
  • Good Morning Y'all...it's Hump Day😁.I love hasbrown casserole it's sooo good. I wish I had a bowl of this with my coffee right now. I use the frozen also so much easier. Love you all have a wonderful day Paula, Eddie, Teresa♥️

Just thaw the hash browns in a colander: that way the liquid can drain while they are thawing.

That looks 😋 and easy to remember.

We love this! I like to serve it for brunch. I stir in cooked crumbled sausage and bacon or chopped ham. I put it into individual ramekins and bake an egg on top. It’s great for entertaining since I don’t have to cook eggs to order.

I use an 8oz container of french onion chip dip instead of the onion and plain sour cream. Tastes great and saves a step
