Athena: "Never once has he cheated on his wife" Hera: "Holy shit"
-
Hera: I have very high standards Athena: he never cheats on his wife Hera: sh*t hes meeting all my standards😱
-
Dialogue is even better when you realize what Athena's strategy was. Mind of a genius, skilled with words, and kind of funny are all traits Zeus has and would no doubt get Hera thinking about him and all of his escapades. So when Athena stated his redeeming feature, it had more impact.

I love that she's like, first god who's presence seems to dominate Athenas , and she's also taller than her. So was Ares, but it's really different! Hera here treats her way less like an equal and more like a kiddo and I think that's pretty fun
-
Hera: is level 5 Also Hera: Standards for men are below sea level thx to her husband
-
Athena: "Never once has he cheated on his wife." Hera: Looks at Theseus - Looks at Jason - Looks at goddamn Zeus "Oh that IS special."
-
Wine aunt Hera is in fact, a vibe and an accurate mythological representation
-
Athena holding up the peacock makes it sound like she's saying "He's pretty skilled with birds"
-
0:16 Athena: Look I'm holding one of you peacocks hostage now LET HIM GO Hera: Nah. I can get more Peacock: Mother, WHY?!
-
Athena: "Never once has he cheated on his wife" Hera is definitely still mad at Jason
-
Hera is like "convince me I should buy you this toy" and I'm here for it
-
“Never once has he cheated on his wife.” Damn Athena knows where to play those cards
-
Hera’s design is just *chef’s kiss* The peacocks pulling back the curtain was absolutely genius, and the bit with her spitting out the wine was hilarious. 😂 Love it, great work!
-
I like how, rather than going against to as why Odysseus should still suffer like how Aphrodite and Ares. She asks *why* he should be let go. She’s not saying anything bad to Odysseus in the song, rather, she just wants to know what makes Odysseus different. It’s kinda nice
-
I love Hera's movements, and her choking on her drink! 😂
-
You can almost hear her counting how many times she's heard each of those things: "he's got the mind of a genius!" "57" "he's pretty skilled within words!" "149" "he's kinda funny." "600" "never once has he cheated on his wife." "...zero."
-
Hearing this on repeat, you kinda start thinking... Hera is not talking about Odysseus' mistakes and wrongdoings like the other gods were. She's asking why he deserves to be freed. Athena, of course, starts with his genius intellect, but that doesn't land. A silver tongue? A sense of humor? None of those things make you good. Pleasant, perhaps. But not reasons why Odysseus should prevail. Saying he's faithful however? Oh, that is a something worth saving.

Lmao, Hera spitting out the wine 🫠 Edit: I'm sorry, but how the fuck and why the fuck does my comment has one thousand likes? Seriously, that's so random 💀

It is worth noting that Odysseus is at the tail end of the mythological heroes. The Argonauts were about 1 generation away from his. So Hera has seen and helped the best of the best in Greek heroes. So it makes sense why she isn’t impressed with him at first But seeing that he’s stayed loyal to his family for 20 years IS. And, as the Goddess of family and marriage she respects that a lot more.

HOLY MOLY THIS WAS ✨ G O R G E U S ✨ First off, I LOVED Hera’s design! The veil made her look like a bride which is extremely fitting since she’s the goddess of marriage. The the peacocks 🦚 are perfect! Second, I love how young Athena looks in comparison to Hera! Hera physically looks like she’s in her 40s or 50s and Athen looks like she’s in her late teens to early 20s. During 0:10, it also make Hera look motherly as if she’s lecturing Athena on something. Not to mention, Hera kind of seems extremely chill about the entire situation. She gives me the vibe of : “that’s nice, dear.” It makes seem more like she’s treating it as a game(which it is) and not seriously. It actually makes it funnier when she spits out the wine she’s drinking
