This is the single most incredible physical achievement ever. No contest.

I know exactly how he feels. I once climbed a 14 foot ladder to the roof of my house.... completely without ropes or safety harness. It was the most exhilarating experience of my life. It’s definitely not for everyone.

IMO this is the most impressive feat ever accomplished in the sports world. A decade of preparation... memorization.. the feel... and let's not forget the willingness to attempt knowing one wrong move and you cease to exist. Alex really is the pinnacle of excellence in this sport. And as he dreamed... a true master.

This is the greatest individual athletic accomplishment ever. The only man to ever even attempt it.

Despite it being the most impressive PHYSICAL achievement, I think we’re under appreciating the Mental Strength needed to do something like this

I have no doubt that all athletes at the peak of their game do incredible things. Some are more physically demanding , some are more dangerous, some are fast paced while others are slow and methodical. I have many hero’s in the world of sports, as I’m sure we all do, and whether they are the best at what they do, or a one of a larger team, I applaud and admire them all. But Alex Honnold climbing El Cap has got to be the greatest, and undoubtably the scariest, physical performance in mankind’s illustrious history. Period.

This is without a doubt the greatest athletic achievement ever recorded. 99.9999% of the planet wouldn’t even consider attempting that even if they were promised billions of dollars at the top.

And to think, if it wasn't for the film crew he would have happily done this in secret with nobody watching. Remarkable human being. Frightening but remarkable.

I know how this ends so why am I panicking the whole time.

I genuinely believe this is the best athletic achievement that exists. This man did something no man would ever do and i believe this is the most dangerous sport in the planet. This man is a legend and we as an audience should be blessed to witness absolute bravery and perfection at its finest. Thank you Honnold!

Weirdly he was probably the least stressed person during this entire thing. It couldn’t have bothered him one bit. Surely he wouldn’t do it otherwise. Just unbelievable, terrifying, but incredibly impressive.

man.... that last scene of him on top while it zooms out.... just shows the magnitude of what he just did. always gives me chills.

Not gonna lie, when he reaches the top and then immediately wanders overly close to the edge, I feel like screaming.

What makes this even more incredible is the fact that he did it while carrying the added weight of two watermelon sized balls.

This legitimately ranks up there with landing on the moon as far as human achievement. Simply incredible.
