My drag queen boyfriend, Velma Joan Belle, plays Dark Souls III for the very first time!

I'm a huge fan of the FromSoft games and for the longest time I've been trying to convince my boyfriend to play one of them too. He finally agreed to undertake a challenge to reach Firelink Shrine in Dark Souls III. Here is the journey of how he went from island life in Animal Crossing to clashing swords with Mr. Gundyr!

Dark Souls III is a 2016 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.

Set in the Kingdom of Lothric, a bell has rung to signal that the First Flame, responsible for maintaining the Age of Fire, is dying out. As has happened many times before, the coming of the Age of Dark produces the undead: cursed beings that rise after death. The Age of Fire can be prolonged with the linking of the fire, a ritual in which great lords and heroes sacrifice their souls to rekindle the First Flame.
